New year, new game possibilities! Late topic, I overslept!
This'll be the last Previews-topic on these forums - and it will be pinned forever, so make it count! :D

  • Do not comment on other games.
  • Your post can contain two pictures or videos, with more hidden in spoiler tags.
  • Keep the description of your game short and interesting.
  • The game must be actively worked on. Don't post the same pictures every month.
  • Use the reputation system to show your appreciation for the games posted!
  • This topic will stay open until the end of the month.

Long ago there existed a legend that lies dormant in the mysterious land of earth. The legend holds the key to an incredible power that has the ability to change a persons physical form, their destiny, time, or even the world itself. The power is told to be held within 8 shards which existed once as a single crystal. If used without serene intentions, unimaginable cycles of destruction will be brought forth. Throughout the world, people have set out on journeys to obtain these shards for their own reasons... No one has yet came across let alone retrieved any evidence of its existence. The people who seek out the shards lack the knowledge of the crystals full capabilities.

Fast pace classic JRP Turn Base Battle System

Tier Base Stats (Tier A,B,C,D,E etc determines what class character is in)

Dynamic Hit reactions, feel the flow of battle with unique hit reactions, when you character hits or gets hit with a power hit you will know it.

Two and a half years of game development taught me the joy of making something unique and unconventional. It is not good enough to make a game fun when there are way too many other freeware games that make fun their selling point.

The game sets place planets that are procedurally generated. It's about exploration and choosing your destiny in the generated galaxy. Taking on whatever role you want. You can check the roadmap of the game on trello: http://bit.ly/1OhSGpX

Here's some screenshots of the game so far:

Got procedural tree generation working using fractals.

btw... I am currently writing a blog on the development of my game and would like for people to read it and give some feedback :)

Hey guys!

I've had a very busy few weeks, so I haven't really had much time to work on the game (Evergreen). With that said, I did get some hill/mountain generation working aside from working heavily on my chunking code for mostly networking reasons. EDIT: The background is not mine and just a placeholder

Took some screenies for you to enjoy:

What is this game about?

Etheria Offline is a 2D action game with fun AI, focused on battles with monsters and interactions with NPCs. You can explore many different areas with various themes when the game is finished.

Some planned/in progress features:

  • Fun and smart NPCs (non-player character) that will make you believe you are playing an online game, they have their own lives and personalities, even when they are not in your area
  • Monsters that have diverse tactics to bring you on your knees, dash, dodge, throw, bite and a lot more
  • Cute pets that you can grow, to help you on your adventure
  • A big fantastic world to explore, with different themes and monsters for each area
  • Interesting weapons that actually play differently, with different spell scrolls to help you in combat
  • Arena to show off your skills, parties to join your NPC friends, guilds and more
  • Events that give special item drops and spawn special monsters
  • Mini games that will bring even more fun
  • A story and side quests to complete the game

The game is made in game maker studio, and it's in very early development, it's me and the artist noobcake who are making the game. When we make some good progress I'll post again, until then if you want too you can visit our blog to see small updates.

Hi All. This is a Battle System demo for a game I've been working on for... awhile. *UPDATE TO POST* Video added.

The Game is called Totemikai: The Quest.

Z - Horn Charge (A light Physical attack)
X - Leaf Shuriken (A Plant Element attack)
C - Sting Spore (A counter attack that temporarily stuns opponent) CAN ONLY BE USE WHEN ATTACKED. Does not negate damage. Watch for the warning.

Otherwise you can only attack (using Z, C) when PURPLE meter full (bottom left)/bottom squares (placeholder buttons) not transparent.
You will hear a chime.

Yellow bars are STAMINA/MP pool.

Purple bars are PTC meters (Pseu-real Time Combat. If you are familiar with Final Fantasy games, its basically ATB). Your PTC is in the lower left corner, your opponent's is under them.

Game is intended for phones and tablets but mapped for keyboard input to better emulate that experience on desktop.

Hope you enjoy playing.

The Adventures of Comik is a 3D physics puzzle platformer with a wonderful soundtrack, voice acting and radical 80's aesthetics!
Starring Comik as our protagonist, venture through the deep caves below Dr. Rotcod's overly-designed laboratory. Solve physics-based
puzzles and fight your way through the unfair system laid out by your creator. You'll meet many new friends and many new foes in this
strange new world. With so many characters populating this world comes many unique and interesting side-quests that keep you on the
edge of your seat and searching for more!

Project name: Gettra

Started this ages ago (as my massively over ambitious first go with GM) but as of the past few months have gotten random motivation to work more on it and get it to a release point.

-This is an online, multiplayer game

-Top down viewpoint

-The world is not seamless, it is a grid of 100 rooms, along with secret rooms and dungeons

-3 different character options with varying 'stats'

-Accessories to boost certain 'stats'

-Wide range of weapons from maces and axes to staves and wands. Also some being upgrade-able.

-Mounts for faster travel

-Guilds with guild wars/battles

-Dungeons. Separate from normal rooms. You form a team of 2/5/10/XX many people together to tackle specific monster(s) in hopes of getting the high score.

-Normal and Hard modes for dungeons with different fight mechanics. Your group having the high score at the end of a period of time may result in in-game items (special weapons, mounts, pack of items, etc)

That's all I'll list for the time being. More information can be found on the official forums here: http://gettra.com/forum

And here's a screenshot of one of the rooms just to show the general look of the world:

A game based around being both the hero and the secret identity. You take charge of your own custom hero and play in a large living city where crime is happening even if you can't see it. Random enemies with random stats will spawn and it's up to you to stop them. Level up, upgrade your powers, live a normal every day life and be the hero the city needs.

Cyborg Warriors

Currently in early alpha, basically Megaman X/Super Metroid Crossover type game with the style of a Sega Master System game.

The release date would probably be sometime in 2018

Here's a basic rundown of the game

.Explore a huge hub world as soon as you start the game, including areas such as an underground mine system, board walk, mountains, and even abandoned bases

.Upgrade your body with additional armor

will be 12 areas, including 1-2 bosses in each area. (15 areas may be considered for the final product)

12 Areas

  1. Water Pipeline System
  2. Gadget Factory
  3. Pixel Power Plant
  4. Slime Experiment Center
  5. Construction Site (start off by jumping across moving trucks)
  6. Bull Thistle Jungle
  7. Underwater Cave (including sunken submarine to explore)
  8. Gravity Experiment Chamber
  9. Hidden Mountain Cavern
  10. Space Patrol Base
  11. Abandoned Cyborg Headquarters
  12. Desert Land (I haven't came up for a name for this place yet)

Considered Areas

  1. Military/ Explosive Supply Base
  2. Crystal Caverns
  3. Slaughter House

As you defeat a boss, you will obtain 1-3 of their weapons. You will also find other weapons if you explore the levels and you can even other items such as tanks to expand your weapon and health supply. There's also a power up similar to the morph ball, which will allow to get into small areas.

We're having issues getting our screenshots posted and we're getting a new twitter account

New Twitter link and fresh screenshots will be reupload soon

One of our projects still early in construction is a modern take on the retro-arcade asteroids game.

The idea is to have a fluid movement system with a large array of weapons/powerups, with AI enemy ships and asteroids.
