Vehicle Physics look no further. This is the most advanced vehicle physics example on the boards.
The old vehicle physics (wild jump, persich.hu) had some problems. For one, the downloads didn't work, and two it was ineffecient and hard to understand..
This example has the maximum efficiency you can get. It also has some minor improvements, such as improved compensation of gimbal lock and much less code. The example is provided free of charge but we recommend you donate to charity (like animal rights.)
The example also provides a nice demo of how it works in 2d. The concepts should be simple to understand and take a look at o_bench if you need any help. This is a 3D example and you might be suprised that it runs on 3 wheels. In an actual render you would not draw the wheels and replace the box with the car model. Happy gaming!
