With my mid-game crisis more or less over (see last week!), it was time to get my hands dirty again and start digging into the core code to expand on the gameplay for Skein. All I had at that moment were a bunch of test rooms which ran the same scripts and generated pretty much the same gameplay experience, just with slightly different graphics, so my first real task would be to organise this into something a bit more progressive and distinct...

Nice work as usual. I'll have to seek places for bots to appreciate your work, since I'm a huge fan of this series. It's very nice and I would be very interested in reading more tech blogs like this!
@Nocturne - Do you have any plans on enabling the members to write blogs the way IPB allows? That should be a nice place to show your devlogs and keep members connected with your game's development. It should be good from learning point of view as well.

Will you be releasing this to play at any point, Nocturne? The more you show it, the more I want to try it out...

Also, it'd still be nice to get devlogs on these forums. ;)

may have a demo out in the near future (1-2 months), but it'll depend on a few factors, some of which are outside of my control...

The transformation of the arena was my favorite part. Quite a change a shape makes!

A little disappointed by the treasure room. I was hoping for secret passages and rooms that can't normally be seen. Something more mysterious I guess.

Still, thanks for the good read.

Nice read as always. Interesting to see how your design decisions play out in actual development. Too often the two are completely separated.
