Elders of Madness is the result of seven months of hard work in which, the development team, composed of 120 guys from secondary education and supported by great professionals of the sector, indies, famous youtubers, musicians and bloggers from the specialized press, has managed to develop a beautiful and exciting game. The goal was that students would be motivated and interested in the world of creation, graphic design, music creation and programming while put into practice all the theoretical contents they have been studying during the course in many subjects.

Well, damn it looks good.

Take the pistol, aim the front towards yourself, pull the trigger, why? because it's not a prank gun no longer.

Just a tip: you never, never save your screenshots as JPG, especially if your game features pixel-art graphics.

Every time somebody uses the term "Roguelike" improperly I cry.

Graphics 10/10

Gameplay 6/10 ( Ithought it was a little too hard at least for myself)

Old school japanese shmups are hard.

When I look at the screenshots I wonder is this pixel perfect full screen scaling? I am asking because I though this is impossible without any distorted pixels.

It's very simple, indeed.

You have to go to Global Game Settings > Windows > Graphics and uncheck 'Interpolate colors between pixels'

and thats all!!

:)

I played this for a little bit, and I have to say - this is a quality little shooter! It reminds me a lot of an old Amiga game Menace - which is a good thing.

The art is very, very nice, and the difficulty seems about right at least in the first two stages, which is as far as I got.

The music is fitting though definitely not very memorable.

Here is a short list of complains:

* Is there a way to not make it an installable? But then again - I just use 7Zip to extract it out of the installer.

* The "sanity" meter - the way the screen brightness flickers back and forth is a bit distracting, and as of yet I am unclear of what purpose this system serves, or how it even works.

* The powerup drops are way too random. I have sometimes made it all the way through a level without a single weapon powerup drop.

* On second level there are a few "gotcha" enemies where there is no way to know a thing will kill you until it does. Like - the first time you introduce an enemy their attacks should be easily avoidable, and once the player knows what this particular enemy does - you can then throw them in harder to avoid situations.

Other than that - I love the game, and will be playing it some more later. Any way we can get an Xperia play/ouya build?

Thank you!
