I had a look at the GM source code you provided. It looks pretty straightforward and organized. But except for the car object itself, it's nearly devoid of any comments or explanations. And the comments in the car object are pretty minimal -- so I'm assuming this is designed for people who are already familiar with GMogre3D.

Overall, it looks good based on the screenshot, but I didn't install the extension and run the code. Maybe you should provide a compiled .exe, so non-orge users can try it out before installing.

Either way, it's nice that you provided the source. That's a good learning tool, and a generous contribution to the Community. +1

I'v have included the ogre extension in the download for those who had trouble finding it.

Very nice example, I like it a lot!

It'd be cool if you made it possible to drift so the car could behave like the warthog from Halo.

Next step, using built-in Newton physics for actual physics on 3d terrain?

Thanks Phantom.

Sure, I will be adding drifting in a future version but after I finish integrating the physics and collision stuff which, at the moment, I'm still figuring out the newton physics systemPosted Image .
