Hi - I have just noticed that the high score table functions have become obsolete with Studio. Hence a solution will involve making one myself.

I would be grateful for any ideas as to how I can achieve this and also if there are any solutions readily available.

Thank you for any comments.

No I believe some of the functionality is still there. 5 functions.

highscore_add
highscore_name
highscore_value
highscore_clear
draw_highscore

The highscore functions are still there, with the ability to draw the highscores and a couple of other minor functions being removed. So you can still use them but you will have to get the score name yourself and draw it yourself...

I just ran into this and have not been able to get a Highscore in my game as of now. That was something I never had an issue with in GM8.1 (and that was the lite version) it was always really simple to do. I've been coming across more and more functions (ones I used quite a bit) that are now obsolete in studio, not sure what to think about that but so far it is not making things easy, at least for me it isn't.

I agree warspite2 - I think the highscore table previously bought about some wow factor to using GM!

I am converting a program from GM:Windows to GM:S and still need to complete this task of creating a high score table. It is extremely time consuming having to constantly debug and make additions to programs to make them work in GM:Studio.

It would be helpful if there was an example of a high score table that one could (if appropriate) adapt for personal use.

I am thinking of how to create an online high score table that will work well with Studio. Is it possible to execute php scripting so I can connect to a MySQL database?

Thank you for any comments....
