[The Legend]

I think that I'd be cool if in addition to rep we had "game rep". Basically, game rep would be a 1 to 5 star rating based on our games ratings that we post in the sandbox. This should be optional, as many people may not want this feature. Just a random thought, please tell me yours! Here's an example of how the rep system would work:



The Legend has two games on the sandbox. One has a 3.3 rating, one has a 2.8

His Game Rep is 3.0 because 3.3 + 2.8= 6.1 and 6.1 divided by 2 is 3.05.



Again, please tell me what your thoughts are!

Sounds cool. If YYG would go for this, I think it'd be kinda nice. But I don't think they're modifying the Sandbox currently.

Oh, and while we're at it:

6.1 divided by 2 is 3.01.

Am guessing that this is probably not going to happen - Sandbox is running on a different (outdated) CMS, not quite compatible with IP.Board.
Also would be a lot of trouble relating to linking of accounts.

As I understood it, there would be no linking of accounts; this would be a sandbox-exclusive feature. Correct me if I'm wrong, The Legend.

You are wrong I'm afraid. But as an alternative there could be a new page where you just select your games in the sandbox as opposed to linking accounts

I see absolutely no possible way to abuse this.

Other than claiming other people's games as your own, of course.



If by chance something like this is implemented, it should factor in number of ratings as well.

If the games are rated 3.3 (5 votes) and 2.8 (1 vote) the game rep should be 3.2 (3.216) ::: (3.3 * 5 + 2.8 * 1)/(5+1)

( (game1_stars * game1_ratings) + (game2_stars * game2_ratings) + ... (game#_stars * game#_ratings) ) / (game1_ratings + game2_ratings + ... game#_ratings)
Where game#_stars is the star count, and game#_ratings is how many ratings have been submitted.
