Hi,

I want to redirect the user in my game to apple game center when he wants to check what achievements he had achieved. I prefer to do this instead of a room in the game to show them.

I need that when the user closes game center the game menu appear too.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Nope. You can redirect to the GameCenter app though, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It's not possible in GameMaker: Studio but there are some commands provided by Apple to display a game specific Achievement Page along with the Leaderboards as another. They are not implemented into GM:S... so maybe if enough people want it they will add it. Also when extensions finally do come, someone could probably just write an extension for it.

Also, why would you not recommend it? Just wondering. When you redirect them to the Game Center the last game played is at the top, no? And when you are in said game looking at the achievements and leaderbaords there is a play button at the top right that takes you right back to the app, no?

Redirecting someone out of your app is never good. You want them to stay in your app, of course
When I was talking with Russel about this he said he would take a look at it. But that was almost 3 months ago.

Well I know how to do this with ObjC, but as you suggested it seems this functionality is not implemented in GM. A pitty. If extensions come soon I will be glad to write it :).

Thanks for the answers.

Apparently you don't want people to go to game center because they are reminded of all the other games that aren't yours!
