Zelda Tower Defense Game

You have six colums that enemies move down. At the back is Link. He left or right to place stuff in the column above him. If an enemy reaches the bottom it will damage Link (if he is there), and then when it comes down it loops back to the top and comes down again. To win you have to kill all of the enemies. You place items(bow, cannon, sword , etc.). An item's max health is equal to however much Link has left(if it has one heart gone and Link drops to one heart, then it will be destroyed).
Mostly I need ideas for bosses. I have an idea with the big octo where you place stuff in the whirlpool, so it damages eyes on its back. If it gets sucked in it gets spat out towards with a lot of damage(one heart).

So its PvZ but vertical and LoZ themed...?
How did you figure that out? I'm not trying to make a clone though. The only similarity is the basic board shape. For instance in the boss above, stuff would actually move in the whirlpool and always point towards the boss.

I don't get the joke but, ruppee likes are for changing floor types for bosses:
red=lava
blue=water
and green=normal land
Oh, now I get it, Like Likes only take your shield/tunic so, they can destroy stuff, but they can't kill Link. They would be great to use as a support for a boss, since Link can't move while being "eaten".

The original NES zelda had a manual with the enemy names.
And there is a snake, and they called it a Rope!! XD
Who mixes a rope with a snake! XD

Indiana Jones while he is stuck in quicksand.
Also, most enemies are carried over, so, chances are, I have seen them in other games.

The rupees was also originally named rubies (the red gemstone, linked to pokémon Groudon etc etc) but was mistranslated to "RUPY" instead of "RUBY".
Ropes are present in tLoZ, ZII:tAoL and Oracle only.

Minish Cap too? I own it so I really should've known that... but I can't remember them. As far as I can remember, most of the game was spent fighting earthworms and slugs while pint-sized so they aren't that obvious. Oh, and a green chuchu as a boss. Lame.
You saw them while normal sized.
