I understand that you can't have advertisement banners on the URL that contains the physical HTML5 games. So how would one go about in running a video ad or flashing some kind of banner before the game loads up. Or is there another effective method of advertising that should be focused on more?????

EDIT: I'm being an idiot, I didn't read the post...

You could try adf.ly or any interstitial ad service. But I hate those, Nocturne hates, those, everybody hates those guys.

Just have ads underneath or above, like you can see on this forum?

Though that is more passive, and relies on users actually clicking on the adverts. Forcing people to watch an ad might mean money for your pocket, but might also cause some gamers to shy away from your games.

We will be using Google Adsense for our revenue, how would we get the Banners on the same page as the game?

It's simple. Adsense provides you the code necessary, and just copy and paste it to the part of the website you want.

So would we be able to place the advertisement code into the site with Filezilla or any other FTP access program?

Anything that allows you to edit your website page's HTML.

Thanks, I will try and see if this works in a week or so when we physically place adsense on our site and detatch it from its current host site.

Anything that allows you to edit your website page's HTML.

GM outputs an html file(and scripts and media), but that doesn't mean you can't change that HTML code, just like you would change any other website code. In fact, you can change it, and then load it into GM and it will leave your changes alone so you don't have to keep changing it.

The other option would be to use frames, but some people don't like that one for whatever reason.

It's pretty much just part of the HTML code that you upload with Filezilla. Just copy and paste it in. It is one of those things that seems complicated before you do it but when you actually go through the process it is really quite simple.:)

I have got adsense on my HTML5 game website HERE. I actually don't make that much on it though, but it does sustain the site (as in it pays for itself), which is good!
