Coin Rush

This is my platform game.

Not bad. Some thoughts though:

• The healthbar should be above the player, not next to it. At first I thought it WAS the player
• Graphics could do with some work. As of now, the player is just a black box - not very appealing.
• Variable jumping would be nice. Just put the following code in the player's step event:
  

  if (keyboard_check_released(JUMP_BUTTON_HERE){    vspeed /= 3;}

• You should consider adding a background instead of the default plain grey. It would make the game so much better!

That's all I can think of for now. Nice work though

Since I was eight
I learnt GML when I was 10

The game is pretty good considering your age, as well as the fact that you haven't been using GM for very long. Most games by people with your age and experience end up as exact copies of the Fruit Catch tutorial included with GM!

It's actually relatively easy to do. Are you using the default healthbar or have you made a custom one? I'm sure if you asked the kind people in the Questions and Answers section, they'd be happy to help out.
