Er... how come we got into that sidetrack, anyway?
Anyway, could you please reply to that post you never replied to (the poster even pointed that out himself) and that lead me into sending you the PM in the first place? Please.

One vital difference would be that Keypress is making a visual novel game... but, of course, that depends on how serial your killer is, Kawasaki. (Normal serial killer is a lot less serial killing than the average Metal Slug protagonist, for instance).
What level of believeability are you aiming for? (Keypress was too realist in my opinion, but then again I'm the sort of designer who find karate rabbits a good enemy for the first world)
I'm going for about the same level of believeability, although I would allow more room for compromising. Instead of a visual novel my game would be from a more GTA 1-GTA 2 styled view, with an open world and all, except instead of just shooting away everyone in your path you can choose "targets" which will then have randomized names/hobbies/hangouts/etc. that you can look up on a fake internet Facebook spoof. Kind of how most serial killers choose targets they don't know in real life. You then stalk your targets, learning their movements and roles in society, and find a way to make the kill without attracting attention to yourself.
Thing is, I need some ideas for ways to kill, ways to get away with it, things to cover your tracks, etc. because unlike your typical GTA game you don't want the cops on you, and if you do get them on you you're pretty much ****ed. I just thought this would be a good thread to post in since it has the same basic topic, how to get away with murder.

So I'd put it like this:
"[---VOID---------][EMPTY][CROWDED]Crimescene-EscPath-Travel-Return "So first you urgently escape the immediate crime scene, maybe destroying or leaving any evidence or tools behind, then you travel away from it in a non-flee way (to avoid catching stray attention) and finally you return to normal somewhere.
What inspired me to this approach would be the kidnapping of Madeleine McCann and the recent mass-murder in france: in both cases, the perpetrator wasn't seen at all during the crime and left no clues about his escape path either: both existed in some sort of attention void. As soon as being far enough away from the crime scene, being in the void is not important enough, especially if you can 'blend in' so that nobody that would see you would think you were important enough to notice (and you'd change clothes, car or something to not look like the crime scene guy in the first place. The risk with that is that you might leave a trace behind, so you'd have to time it properly or maybe skip it altogether).
Just my little analysis. No idea on how to ludificate it properly for your game, but I'd say something like "parkour + dark alleys".

It was a bit of an angry way of dealing with the problem, but ultimately this topic is a waste of time. It looks like Keypress expected her writing to make sense when it wasn't proof read properly, so then she laughs at people for misunderstanding.
When put under pressure, does Keypress just run away?
I see what you're saying itsnotyouitsme. You are a little bit angry about it though.

This reminds me of a History Channel special on this guy who killed like 100 something people over like a 20 year span. Interviewed him and he told his story. they only got him for like 24 murders out of 100+ or something like that.
might be worth looking in to?
Any chance you could link me to that? It could be very helpful in coming up with ideas for my game.
