So recently, when I've been trying to type code in the editor on Game Maker 8.0, the auto-complete menu does not pop up, and the argument help is not on the bottom of the editor window. This makes writing code a pain, and I checked my preferences; both options were on. What is going on?

Sometimes they deactivate while using gmae maker check in the preferences how much is the delay for the auto complete
and if they are enabled.

I already said they are definitely enabled, and the autocomplete delay is 750 milliseconds. I wait even longer than that, it doesn't pop up.
