does any one know of a dll to make mp3 files work just like midi files?

No, Ipod's fly better. And if you are talking about the ability to edit them like a MIDI, then I doubt that is possible.

Not possible, I'm afraid. MP3s and MIDIs are completely different; while MP3s store actual sampled sound, like WAVs, OGGs etc., MIDIs are a rather unique file that stores the information for the sound (note, panning, volocity, instrument patch etc.) and uses a system's synthesiser to turn that information into audio.
