With IcoMaker, you can easily create 16 x 16 icons, with ease! From the Title Screen, you can choose which size Icon you would like to create (currently only 16 x 16). From there, you will be greeted with a simple window where you can choose the color from the right side of the screen, and draw on the left side of the screen. A preview of your current drawing colors is shown above the color palette, on the top-right side of the screen. To draw, simply left or right click on the drawing board. On the bottom-right side of the screen, there is a preview to preview what your icon will look like. When you are done, just click the save icon (The button that looks like a memory card), choose the directory you would like to save in, name your icon, and click "Save" on the right! It's that easy! Use IcoMaker for all of your Icon Making Needs! Download IcoMaker Today!

-32 x 32 support

Ummm.... There is an icon maker on the YoyoGames Sandbox made in GM6. And it supports 32x32.
(I know it is below 7, because you have to use the GM-Vista converter.

my point is that it is still old, but I don't know what the limitation on 32x32 is. I mean, you already have 16x16. Shouldn't be very hard, if not even easy to code that.

Since you'd like more 'Helpful' in a response, then ok.

I didn't think the Size select screen was, a select screen. I thought it was a splash screen.
I liked the double-button layout, it was quick and easy.
The way the icon launches in preview is pretty well thought, it was a really good outcome for my example icon.
The palette should support custom colors, at least with RGB.
Palette colors were simplified, however could use a shading chart like Paint and Game Maker.
I felt the lack of a transparent color. If you are not using surfaces, then you should switch to them.
The preview in the bottom right should have a 'zoom', just a image_xscale and yscale enlarger.

Nifty little app, not many features, but i'm sure if you work on it that will change with time. The first thing you should probably add is undo and redo actions.
Oh yeah, the mouse object doesn't seem to be aligned correctly with the cursor, has a little offset to it.

Good job and work on it some more.

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm fixing the mouse offset now. And I think Ill add like a color wheel So that players can really have more color choices. And yeah Im going to add 32 x 32 support right now........and Ill go up from there. Maybe even add 8 x 8 later. So Ill update the post as soon as I'm done.

EDIT: If I add too bigger icon sizes, There'll be no room for a preview. For example 256 x 256...lol

I use something called IcoFx to make Icons for my games....but I'll give your game a try...
Originally IcoFx was free...but now they're trying to charge people for it.
I made some massive icons for my games with IcoFx...but did find the program slightly complicated to use.

Download anyone of My YoYogames to see the massive icons I created
with IcoFx. Note: if using Windows 7...You can set Icon size to Extra Large.

Please don't try to advertise your games on my post.

EDIT: thanks for removing the link.

Took out the sandbox link...gave your game a try...

The ability to draw your own icons is cool...
Suggestion: Maybe add ability to make lines of various sizes.

Note: I'm surprised Windows 7 doesn't have a built in Icon Maker...
because it seems harder to customize folders in W7 than it was in XP.

It would help if you were to include a screenshot of program in first post. Such takes few minutes, and can mean a lot to number of downloads.

About saving multiple formats, it should be pretty easy - you just set appropriate number of 'images' in file header, and 'stack' them after each other, normally starting from smallest-sized one. As long as there are no errors in output, it will produce an icon with multiple formats. I've implemented such in a similar program I wrote over a year ago. That didn't include image editing, to say.

1. Game Maker caused my computer to completely freeze, so I lost everything I was writing in here. Thank you, Game Maker.
2. Pretty nice little program. With some work, it could become a quite useful tool.
3. Why so few colors? Instead of using such a small palette, you should use get_color(), that if you don't want to make your own fancy color browser.
4. With #3, as the image is not indexed, I think a top priority would be 32-bit export.
5. Sometimes, using a color, instead of painting, deletes the previous data, leaving white all over. And no, not pressing right-click.
7. Are you not using a surface? Because it's strongly recommended to use a surface.
8. Moving the mouse fast while drawing does not create lines, it just adds some points.
9. A brush tool could be even more useful than lines or circles. You know, antialiasing looks nice anywhere.
10. Using the "New" icon should ask you if you don't want to save your work.

Thanks for the suggestions! And I use draw_getpixel(). The colors on the right are all one sprite.

EDIT: I forgot to tell you: I'm still looking for a good color palette. PM me if you know a good one.

Then at least you could have used a sprite like this:

Yes, but I need something that would fit on screen. Because re-sizing the game window size just so a color wheel would fit is silly. I'm going to make, or find, a rectangle color palette.

Oh, and I'm adding 0.6.7 to the post right now. It completely fixes the drawing/erasing bug.

EDIT: UPDATED to 0.6.7!

EDIT: UGGHHHH!!! Finally done my homemade color chart. Ill add it in the next update.

It's plain obvious that such a round palette wouldn't fit your UI. I was just giving a hint of the gradual system idea.
But you should really add a get_color() based thing... Perhaps something like Paint's dual color system, where right click means something, and left click means somethings else, and you can click on the color rectangles to select the color (as well as on the palettes).
