OK, I'll be honest here. I'm not going to make what I ask for a while, as I don't have GMpro, but I'm thinking of getting it. How can I make an object to continiously be behind the player and act as the camera(working as a third-person game)?

The same way you would in first person, just at a distance from the player. (lengthdir is one way)

Thanks! Oh, and one more thing. As I said, I don't have Pro GM until now. How can I play the examples of the fps? Stand-alone game didn't work.

You need to run executables that were created through registered versions of Game Maker.

You don't need to constrain the camera position to the object position, so no need to actually move the object. Just refer the xfrom, yfrom and zfrom parameters in d3d_set_projection function to some variables that you set to the coordinates of the position behind the player.

You should register GM, the registered version is awesome.

I will, but I want to play it before I do. Can someone make an executable for me?

You can try to create this in 2D by making something follow behind the player in a top-down view, it's basically the same thing, but without actually viewing the scene in 3D.
