hey guys i try stuff out.
i am new to a DS list thingy and want to make
a scrollable list thats clickable. so people can select a variable. and i can read it out.
the list must be scrollable as my room is small and there are MANY variables they can choose.

thanks in advance

isnt it possible to use a DS list wich i add names.
and they can select the name and then whenthey select it set a Temp var to the name so i can use the selected input.
btw i like the idea but ur examples does not meet what i am searching for.
and i am not planning to make like 1000 objects for every room 1

A list is a 1 dimensional array, meaning that you can only store the variable names, and not their values. For 2D, use ds_grid or a 2D array (I would recommend array.)

well i try to use your example thingy and use the reply from the topic there.

the only problem i get they do scroll. but instead of revealing hidden buttons outside the room region by moving them into view with the scrollbar.
it scrolls them all down instead of up and when i scroll it just creates a empty gap.

do you have any example for me wich creates a menu with like 10 buttons with some outside the room.
so i must use the scroll in order to see those buttons.

thanks in advance
