I think GM4Mac should be taken down entirely. The Windows version is just so much better in every way. If you can afford a Mac, you can afford a Windows computer anyway.

Awh, come on guys. GM4Mac is something that the Mac community appreciates. Don't get all Windows dominant.

I bought GM4Mac just a few minutes ago for my little cousin! He was playing on it on my computer when he was last visiting and he learned the basics of the D&D system and I taught him how to make a simple game... And before he left, he had made a whole 3-level platformer (with a boss) without my help!
Happy birthday Andrew! :)
*Forgot to mention he's 5!

And thanks for the sale!

No, I want a Mac! I am hoping to get one this year.

I like Mac and I like Windows. Mac is just very restrictive.. as is GM4Mac.

However, the $39.99 is the same for Windows and it is by far better. The GM4Mac $19.99 price point, should be, in my honest opinion, kept at that.

I'm not buying until it is upgraded, I tried lite and it was extremely unstable on lion. to the point when I had to move to another space and force quit

I downloaded it and tried it... not really sure why as I use studio on my windows box, but just wanted to check it out.

Ran well on my iMac (lion 10.7.4).

Would be GREAT if GMS was able to run on a Mac. Is that something that might happen in the future? I do run it now using vbox, but a native app would be great.

This sounds like a good deal. However, I don't think I'll get it since I already have GM Studio, which includes Mac export when you buy the base pack. Studio also has all the cool features of... Studio, and GM4Mac only has GM7's features...

However, I love my new Mac Mini (which I bought to make iOS apps) and would love to do game developing on it, so if YoYo do ever release Studio on Mac (I'm talking about version 2.0, not the current one), I would probably get it even if I had to buy it all again (that's assuming I make enough money for it off my next iOS app!).

But if you don't have Studio and want a Mac, this is a good opportunity. So don't miss out!

As much as I agree with you, this is great news that GM4Mac is on sale!
Great work!

At least AskJeeves still works.

GM4Mac is the buggiest piece of software I have ever used on any system. Ever. It also doesn't allow you to put your games on the Mac App store since it was never updated to support the new sandbox rules, something YoYoGames conveniently never mentions. It hasn't been updated in any way for over a year. I've really lost a lot of respect for YoYoGames over this and the fact that it's still for sale.
