As anyone developed an understanding on how the UDID's work for testing purposes for iOS builds?

I have some people who wish to do an early review of a game. They sent me their UDID's which I know to add to my game on the provisional profile site.

At that point do I just send them the ipa for them to install on their device? Knowing apple I am sure I am missing 20 steps and it isnt that simple.

You have to send them the .ipa along with the provisioning file. The provisioning file must be installed before the .ipa.

And yes, it's that simple. Posted Image

Just a quick follow up to help understand that last part - the provisional profile I send is the one created for that specific game right. The ones called "Development Provisioning Profiles" - not any other certificates?

Yeah, the provisioning file that you bake into the .ipa. It's the one you assign in GMS at Global Game Settings -> iOS -> Provisioning.

I tried to use that service awhile ago Russell but I get an error.

'Invalid Profile: developer build entitlements must have get-task-allow set to true.'

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Just to be clear, I do not need to create an ad-hoc for my situation right? That's just needed with that test flight software?

As expected those guys are having trouble installing the app, even though I tested it on my end with no problems installing on a device that runs on a separate machine.

I love the interwebs.
