Very very long room

I want to do a long room but when I run the game and I am almost in the end of the room, the background looks very distorted :confused:
what can i do?? ^_^

room: width: 4800, height: 680

Buy a larger screen lol... you can't display that much pixels on your small compared to that screen dude, you need to use a view.

If you don't mind me asking, why such a long room?
I think your best bet is to use views to only see a potion and be able to move it around.

I worked on long rooms too and experienced the same issue using very long 1 piece background image approx about 4000x480. The work around I did was to split the images in sections with max of 1200 wide.

All images MUST fit on the texture pages, if they don't, they'll be scaled down to fit - and that will blur them.

Like Mike just said, chances are you're going to have to split up the background into smaller chunks.

Your background image is larger than you memory can handle for 1 image during the game.
