Seems nice. After all, the purpose of this proposal is to prevent misclicks from affecting others.

Or you can only undo one vote each day.

But before speculating further, it would be nice to know what is possible without too much hassle. :)

Why not have it so that you can only undo your vote for one minute after you make it? Assuming that is possible, of course.

If they save all votes and not just change your rep then it's possible, which is most likely that they do since you can only vote once per post.
Just have a time stamp on the votes and check if the current time is less then time stamp + 1 minute.

But I guess they already know how to code that...

Why don't we all just be careful? Before we use the rep button, read carefully. Then click carefully.

There's no reason to modify the forum software to solve a problem caused by carelessness.

The forum is made by Invision Power Services Inc. It's not a matter of how to do it technically, it's whether the forum software supports it.

Don't you just love programs that got unlimited undo and redo functions?
Misstakes are always going to be made by us humans, that's why we got computers to make life a little bit less painfull ;)

Oh, I didn't know that, then it's a whole other story.

But of course, I may be mistaken...

It's painful for the developers who have to make sure their software can undo your stupidities...

If it's painfull for the developer he/she made a bad carrier choice.
I find it fun and challenging to make fail preventing systems.
My 3D Minecraft skin editor have unlimited undos.

There's a relatively huge scale difference.

People are getting into the realms of fantasy with all this reputation modification now. The forum software wasn't designed for every existing exception.

What if I rep someone, then accidentally undo the rep I gave and can't remember what I gave initially...
I want an undo for the undo action, imagine the tragedy this could cause without one :ermm:

Then you're suffering from some serious short term memory issues. Also, you could just re-read the post and see if you agree with it or not.
