Hi! I'm starting to create possibly a SMB3 remake and right now, I'm creating the sprites for Mario. Thing is, I'm not quite sure how to create a folder to put all of the different Mario sprites into, so that it's all organised. There was one time when I was using GameMaker 7, and all I had to do was right click and there was a 'create group' or something like that. Thanks for your help! :)

Btw, GameMaker 8.1 is AWESOME! :D

Isn't it the same for 8.1, just right click on the folder, and there will be a button 'create group' like you said (the shortcut keys are : Shift+Ins)

Don't ask me what Ins means it's what it said

I tried shift+ins (hint hint! :D) and right clicked but there's no button for 'create group'. :(
Thanks for the fast reply! I'm used to forums where I have to wait ages for a response!

You may have a setting in your computer that doesn't allow right click....

Anyway's create group is also in the 'Edit' tab at the top next to the 'File' tab

Edit: I didn't notice, you are new... welcome to GMC! :D

Hmm, I can't see the 'create group' anywhere when I right click on the folder. I only see 'create sprite' and the other options.
Btw, thanks for your welcome!

Oh god.... can't believe it took this long for me to realise

You're probably on 'Simple Mode' (at the top in brackets does it say Simple Mode?)
You have to be on 'Advanced Mode'

Click on "FILE" at the top of the create a new game (next to the save button and all)

You'll see this:
Spoiler

Make sure the Advanced Mode is ticked (shown above)

Lol, try it now! (Right click on the folder or go to the edit tab next to file)

Oh that's right!! LOLZ When I first put GameMaker on my computer I just put it on simple mode and forgot to put it on advanced.
Thanks alot GMKn00b! I wonder how I didn't know? I always use advanced mode! I voted your post up!
