Sounds like this is coming together nicely. Unfortunately for me Windows XP throws an error when trying to run the game ("has encountered a problem and needs to close"). I'll play it again whenever this is fixed

Hmmm, and you extracted all the files? I could also produce an NSIS installer and upload that, I just figured everyone would rather a zip.

I use ZIP files every day so that's not the problem, it's when running the executable itself. Not sure what's causing it though

I switched the fill to an NSIS installer. Would you mind giving it a try?

Works fine over here.

One suggestion, after beating the level, let the horse keep going until the end of the screen and then go to the new menu maybe, eh?

Minor Update:
-Minor tweeks to gameplay. (should be playable through task 17)
-More featrures to the level generation. (still needs work)
-Fixed rainbow effect (smoothed it out)
-Allowed character to run off screen at levels end.
-Fixed Kangaroos at higher levels

Still working on:
-Gameplay
-Unique enemies
-Varied tasks
-and everything else!

Anybody wanna tell me how the gameplay feels? Is it tedious or fun?

Thanks for all the hlep!

I played it for some time and I have to say, it's really neat. The whole dark feeling really makes this game exciting.

Some stuff I really liked:
- The graphics really give the game that dark feeling.
- The whole pony idea is just awesome.
- Auch, I'm feeling sorry for that pony. XD

One silly little negative point wich proppably isn't even the game's fault: the menu freaked out, but that's proppably just my crappy old laptop.

Thanks for the feedback.
What about the menu freaked you out? Was it the buttons, layout or overall look?

The menu didn't freak me out, the menu just freaked out cause the buttons where on the background instead of the forground, but as I said: It's proppably just my laptop. (I had some problems with other games to back in the times I was still an active poster on the NGMC.)

Update:
-Changed the splash screen.
-Changed the menu fonts.
-Changed the buttons.
-Added on a hitpoint system. (3 hits to die)
-Made the rainbow powerup stronger. (You can no longer take damage.)
-Made the blocks breakable.

To Do:
-Saving on Android.
-Pause button.
-Add more enemies.
-Add more tasks.
-Tutorial screen
-Credits

The new hitpoint system should make the game easier and more fun to play.

Any suggestions?

Good question! I think I should have the android version done within the next few weeks, aslong as I am able to find enough devices to do QA. I hope to launch the second week of Aug.

Update:
-Added quit button
-Added quit on backspace
-Added auto save to .ini
-Working pause button (for Android)
-Warning for powerup end
-Screen shake on damage
-More changes to game fonts (I really hate fonts!)

To do:
-More tasks
-More enemies
-Redo app icon
-Redo sound fx?
-Add music?

I am getting close to finishing this game, however, I still need to add on content.

Any suggestions on how I can improve it?

The gameplay itself is solid, the UI is clear, and I didn't find any bugs during the entire time I played, so you've done a thorough work there.

I didn't really like the graphical style because the it was all white/gray/black. I know it was suggested that you use an art style like this, but I personally don't like it. It's actually one of the reasons why I don't like Limbo either.

At times, I felt it was sometimes impossible to hit all the cats/people. For example, there was once a star that I had to jump to to get it, but then I couldn't jump again fast enough to reach a floating cat.

Btw, will you add an endless mode where you're just trying to get the biggest high score? I personally like doing the tasks more though, since I've never been a fan of high score games. I just thought some players might like a mode like this.

I do plan on keeping the art style, since the game is so far along. I plan to try to make the art style much different in my next game, however, art has never been one of my strengths.

I've have been trying to work more on the level generation, so that each level is fair and can be "solved". But you are right at times the game creates levels that make it impossible to complete the task. Still needs work.

I have been thinking about an endless run mode, and with your feedback I will definitely put it in now.

Thanks again.

-Humans

Update:
-Major content update
-Content up through task 22
-Two game modes: free run and tasks
-Level ends on task completion
-New task titles
-New company logo
-Speed of game based on current level

Left to do:
-Credits
