What is Steam Greenlight?
Steam Greenlight is a new system that enlists the community's help in picking some of the next games to be released on Steam. Developers post information, screenshots, and videos for their game and seek a critical mass of community support in order to get selected for distribution. Steam Greenlight also helps developers get feedback from potential customers and start creating an active community around their game as early in the development process as they like.

Feel free to discuss, I'd love to see some gamemaker games on there :P

You can submit any game, providing it is popular enough among the community, it should get added :D

It's hit and miss unfortunately. There's already some good games in consideration out on Greenlight, but some people have already abused the system, passing off heavily copyright infringing or poor man's versions etc.

Love the idea though. I'd like it to stay, so I hope it irons out the issues it has, and it'll be a great way for lesser known developers to get their name out there on a low budget.

We put our game Noms the Fish on there (made in GMS). At the very least some people will hear about your game that otherwise might not.

Immortal Defense (made in Game Maker and released back in 2007) is also on Greenlight:

Hopefully it gets on Steam, it was well liked and sold well and got good reviews but Steam never accepted it back when I submitted it. If any of you could vote for it that'd be very helpful.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding the 100 entry fee. I don't mind it - if you can't kickstart 100 bucks anyway, it probably wouldn't work out.
