Why does everyone like minecraft? I don't see the point of a walking cube man buliding bricks from nowhere.
So Question is what is so great about Minecraft?

Hello,

Minecraft is a very original game.
It is First Person, 3D, multiplayer, but the most important, it is not violent.
Your question is the same as asking this:
"In CoD, why is it so fun to just go around and shoot everyone?"
Well, that is because it is fun playing and competing with other people.

Minecraft is fun to build things and share your buildings with other people.
Also it is fun to find diamonds and explore the world.

I hope you see why everyone likes it.

Minecraft is so fun because you can basically do anything in a random infinite world! That makes it have good replay value, you'll always have something to do in Minecraft, from making a house, to making a whole adventure map, waiting to be played by thousands. I've had Minecraft since November of 2010, and I've only quit once, just for a month. If you would like to see some minecraft stuff, you could check out some youtube channels. I do some minecraft, but not often. (Link in the sig)

I'd recommend you watch either Chimmneyswift11 or Antvenom, or possibly Captiansparklez.

I also don't really like to build that much in minecraft. However, the reason it's such a popular game is that there are so many ways to play it. You don't have to build if you don't want to. I spend most of my time crafting and mining, while other people might enjoy exploring or hanging out with friends.

Like others have said, try playing the game before judging it.

I would like to try it, but as far as I'm concern, I'm not paying 20$ (i think). And like cantavanda said, the free isn't good.

I understand why you guys like it. But what keeps you coming back to it? I played it for a while, then stopped because it got really boring and repetitive.

It does not, in my experience. I occasionally have an idea for something epic that can be built in Minecraft, then go and build it. That's not repetitive. Particularly when my building techniques improve over time.

Yeah, it does get boring rather quickly. But I always end up going back to it for whatever reason, be it to build something, mine, or explore.
