*Ignorant people who formulate opinions on things they know nothing about.

*People who use their authority to benefit themselves before benefiting others.

*People who abuse their authority and power.

Isn't this a bit hypocritical?

*People who take things too literally

*People who can't tell when I'm using sarcasm. I run into this a lot, because sarcasm is my second language.

Dammit.. *self palm*

EDIT: I'll give a list here:

*People who complain all the time.
*People who complain about really petty and small things.
*People who have short tempers.
*People who are hypocrites.

(Funfact: I occasionally break two or more of the above peeves. People aren't perfect)

A bunch of people in my class last year called me "old" for liking Led-Zeppelin-era music, and they never even bothered to even give that type of music a listen.

- Electronic music; bleeps and boops should just stick to being NES music.

It grinds my gears when people are hypocrites.

Kids in my grade say that "I Gotta Feeling" is old.

So, let's sum up what the scenario was like before the end of 5th Grade

Rednecks who didn't tolerate gaming.
CoD and sports fans.
CoD only fans.

And girls:

Hawt
Not Hawt (make it or break it)

Me, I am like the only nerd who is actually a nerd.

*When I have to go to the dentist/doctor. ::lmao::

*When friends come over to my house and mess around with my stuff.

*Teachers that lose a project you did, force you to do it over and when you are done they find the old one.

Wow, that is all I have right now. xD You may have to come back to me.

Friends who hold onto racist/sexist/offensive opinions, say something horrificly politically incorrect then feel like they're the ones being attacked when people get angry at them.

People with awesome in their username (that is so lame!)

People who hide from evidence / are selective about evidence. People who will hold onto one piece of evidence that supports their view and deny 4 that don't.

When people assume that science is in some way the same thing as religion when actually they are totally different things, not opposites, different, like a cat and a banana. A scientist can be religious. You can be one of either, or neither.

EDIT: Oh, and when I do one of those without realising.

> People who start off with low opinions of everybody else. I think everybody deserves to be respected until a proper judgement can be made.

> People who are intolerant of other ways of thinking or behaving, and consider people weird or stupid when in fact they just have a different approach to things.

> People who are not open to new possibilities - who cling on to their one piece of evidence rooting them to what they think, but are too ignorant and stubborn to understand it.

> People who do not care to be on time for things.

> People who get angry easily. I can appreciate it if someone is being deliberately hurtful, but everybody makes mistakes, and anger can't reverse time to unmake those mistakes.

> People who aren't prepared to make sacrifices for other people. Anything you do comes back round at some point, be it in the form of a tangible reward or just a warm feeling in your heart. Either way it's worth it.

> People who ask questions during films you've already seen. There are two possibilities that could result: one, I know the answer having seen the film already, in which case so will you by the time it is over; two, I do not know the answer. Either way, there is no point in asking.

However, I do occasionally get angry over poorly designed equipment.

Speaking of poorly designed equipment...

I sometimes get angry when people designing equipment seem to forget that 10% of humanity is left-handed. Espeically when a combined solution is available. We have a soup/gravy spoon with two spouts (sorry if those are the wrong words, non-native language speaker here). It's actually broken, but nowhere have we yet found one to replace it. All soup spoons are right-handed. One would save 10% of the world an annoyance if all such spoons were both-handed, at the cost of virtually nothing.

And if you're left-handed, it's everywhere.
  • Most pens leak, meaning when you hold your hand over what you've just written your hand and afterwards your paper is covered in ink blobs.
  • On a lot of places (including bank transfer cards) you're expected to write to the right of a fold.
  • Zippers on clothing are sometimes covered by a flap with buttons - on the wrong side.
  • Mugs usually have the pattern on the front side you hold the ear with your right hand.

Similar annoyances are found caused by people who forget that 8% of men are red-green color-blind, and people who forget that 94% of people don't speak English natively.

Know what really grinds my gears?

When some moderators think they're gods of forums.

Know what else really grinds my gears?

That Lindsay Lohan. That Lindsay Lohan with all those little outfits jumping around on stage half naked with your little outfits. You're standing up there jumping around, and I'm just sitting here with my beer. So what am I supposed to do? What do you want? Are we gonna go out? Is that what you're trying to do? Shaking all your things in my face? THATS WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS

Eh? This surely can't be a problem, can it? Are you that left handed that your right hand is basically unusable? Can you only grasp things with one hand?

Now I feel proud of my ability to carry and drink something out of either of my hands.

Oh yes, when people lock the HallOfFaiLOL despite it having worked perfectly before. But then I guess it was justifiable for anyone who hadn't seen how the first hall operated.

When reviewers give things bad reviews just to get popular off the hate.
That everyone hates on scrolls just because its not Minecraft 2.
When Hollywood remakes a movie that came out 2-3 years ago.
When Hollywood remakes movies that don't need to be remade *cough Total Recall.
That a large majority of people on the internet are close minded, and only their opinion counts.
When 3rd games suck.
When people ignore what you have to say.
People that change their personality when you meet them again in high school.
When people complain about the weather in Virginia, when the southern states have wayyyy worst weather.

Oh and also, people who are close-minded in general.

If you weren't so closed-minded, you'd understand why people love video game characters.

I'm going to add this one to my list.

-When people talk about how certain girls in video games look so 'hot.' Guys, it's a bunch of pixels on a screen. You're telling me that a bunch of colored lights is 'hot?' Most of these 'hot' characters don't even look realistic!

*Puts on shades and starts smoking whatever drug you think is the most cliche*
Could you not also describe a picture of a person on a computer just pixels? People in general, just light reflecting off of surfaces into your retinas? What makes something attractive or ugly? Truly, it's in the eye of the beholder. Most games don't have 'hot' characters, though, eww.

Even if you have a video of a real life female on screen, it's still a bunch of pixels, just a bit less abstract. So where is the line? Someone could make something that looks exactly like a real life person, yet it's not. Is it OK to think that's hot? What's wrong with having taste for something that is not as realistic? If you use your imagination, it can be as realistic as you want it to be.
I'm willing to admit I find some CG girls "hot". Even some of the more abstract cartoon-like ones.

Here's what grinds my gears:
People who blame police or parking officers for doing their job! It's the government policy writers who determine if what you do is wrong, not the person that enforces the policy. (Now I'm in a grumpy mood just even thinking about people's ignorance! :verymad: )
