Hey guys, I'm a wannabe game maker, with a very limited understanding of programming. While I'm interested in becoming part of the community and learning what I can, before I came here I started a side project. From Dreamer to Code Monkey is my blog, specially crafted for those who love overly long titles, and is my personal attempt to program a game and try to teach, explain, or cry for help along the way.
The site isn't too far along at the posting of this topic, only just wrapping up applying some animation to a basic platforming character. However, I really would like some feedback. At the point I'm at, I'm sure a lot of people know what they are doing, but starting with the basics is a good chance for me to see if I'm doing well, and for anyone who just happens to be starting out to catch up.
This site isn't supposed to be the most detailed and thorough of teaching tools. There are plenty of sites that can do so way better than I can. It is more of an attempt to explain the thought process behind programming a game. There will always be aspects that are unique to your game, from very universal aspects such as AI, to more engine-specific elements, and finding help for those aspects can be difficult. I hope that people can read my personal thought process and gain insight in how to make their own code.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.

It could use some more pictures and it runs a bit slow (for me). Looks promising though. Love the name!

Hey Thanks.
I'll try to add more pictures. I kind of justified it before by the lack of anything to look at, but otherwise it is a bit "wall of text"ish.
