circle = vk_back?

why? i mean vk_back works as the back button which is horrible
to have a the circle button is there anyway this could be changed?

I would like to be able to use this circle as a fire button
but i cant if im using the back button as a way to leave the game?

I dont have an Xperia Play, but circle is tipically used as an exit button in most sony devices AFAIK.. So it seems logical.. (at least when the screen is up)

If you want to exit the game, just make a menu with the option to exit, like most games do :)

Ps: If circle is vk_back, what key corresponds to the actual back button? :unsure:

The vk_back is still the actual back button too, which kinda sucks because it means two buttons do the same thing.
This is why i asked for circle to be changed otherwise its a waste of a button.

I guess the only option there is to make a pause menu and exit trough an option..

As far as I remember, that's not a YoYo decision. The Play really does consider Circle and Back to be one in the same.

Those were probably using a special Xperia Play SDK that could identify the hardware keys with their own unique identifiers.

Use the slideout gamepad in a normal, non-XP app, and you should see the circle button acting as the back key.

There are specific keymappings for each button. The circle IS vk_back though, which isn't really a big deal. Just make an app that says what key you're pressing down and go from there on figuring out keymapping.

Actually, the way they do it is the circle button is BOTH the back button and alt being pressed at the same time. So, just add an if statement that checks if alt is pressed as well to differentiate between the back button and O. :)
