Hey Guys,

So it's been a few builds since i've tested my game on iOS, but the last build that i did try worked perfect. in this latest build however, it seems that anytime i use the command show_question the game crashes. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

You should not use show_question or any other function that calls up a dialog box w/iOS or Android. Apparently the show_message/show_question functions did work, or might work, but are not supported for either OS. The help file for GMS says these functions are for debug use only.

Hope that helps.

So I should just create my own message system? Or did they replace it?

As far as I know, they did not replace it.

The paper Mark Overmars wrote has a nice way to do a resume/restart type dialog pg 28). I'd already implemented something similar prior to reading his paper though.

Getting keyboard input is going to be tedious, IMO.

Cool. I have actually done it before as well. Shouldn't be too hard to do again! Thanks again!

Anyone have a way to bring up the iOS or Android keyboard without using these older debug functions?
