Would like to see a module before the fall to export our apps to work on the windows mobile app site since microsoft has announced the Surface tablet.

I am NOT talking about windows 8 and .exe for those that didnt read the entire sentence. You need a specific format for the app store just like you do for android and ios.

I second this. I think being able to develop apps for Windows mobile devices would be a great addition.
I don't know how popular Windows mobile devices will become, but there seem to be more and more of them as time goes on and they may end up being a very big player in the market.

I believe WinRT, the development platform for Windows 8 metro applications, allows developer a choice between C#/.NET/Silverlight and HTML5/Javascript. I'm not sure if it is as easy as developing an HTML5 GM app with the right dimensions, or if there is extra work needed, but either way, it shouldn't be much work to implement (either for game devs, or for Mike/Russell).

If they ever release the NDK for it, then we will look into it..........

Well the problem is that there are at least 2 (possibly 3 things) you are talking about here...

1. Windows 8 support - everything works as it stands on Windows 8, so there is nothing special needed there.
2. Windows phone 8 - we would like to do this but MS need to ship us the NDK and we need to get that working
3. Windows 8 store support - a windows 8 app that packages applications with everything needed for the Windows 8 store - will probably have 2 variations (Native and HTML5) - I suspect we will start with HTML5 and then do Native later (as ARM support would be needed for native too) - we have not confirmed that we will be doing this just now.

To be clear, 3. also implies supporting Windows 8 immersive (metro) applications, right?

My understanding from the Windows Phone 8 announcement and talk of the shared kernel is that the fundamentals of the WinRT platform will apply to Windows Phone 8, so hopefully 2. and 3. would come hand-in-hand? (provided nothing too shocking/different appears to be the case in the NDK) :)
