Hi there,

Just got GM 8.1 lite and started the tutorial game which all worked fine.

I am however getting issues with playing sounds from the program directly.
Trying to preview sounds from GM or launching my game causes the following message to pop-up: "No sound device detected. Sounds may not play"
And they indeed do not !

I have tried reinstalling my latest sound drivers and rebooting, updating Windows media player, both with no change whatsoever.
I am able to play sounds with no issues when browsing sounds with windows media player.
Sound works perfectly outside of GM.

I run Windows Seven Home Premium 64 bits and an Asus Xonar DX sound card.

Can anyone help with this ?

I have an Asus XONAR DG and am encountering the same issue, but in GM8. It seems that the problem does`t arise when you run the exe with administrator rights.

Yep. My laptop has been like that for a year now. Nothing I ever did fixed it. To this day, it still doesn't work.
