I want it to get some stuff from him so I can bring it back up with Independent Gaming behind it.
I made him the same offer... I'd have happily taken over, but I think he's just not interested.

Due to some personal issues & other stuff I don't really want to get into, I've had to take down CrySet. I understand some of you have offered to take on the project, but in its left state it really wouldn't be worth it (trust me). I've learnt a lot since the site was created (from my full-time job as a web developer), and now understand how badly it was made (the structure was bad, mostly). I don't have a lot of time to partake in projects such as this, but would be willing to advise and help anyone who wanted to create a similar project.
I already get that it was unprofessional to take down the site without notice, and am sorry some of you have had to replace links and/or have lost revenue (the site didn't make any profit at all, so don't think I'm cheating you out of anything).
Sorry for the long overdue posts guys,
Beatson.
(For anyone wanting any advice or help on similar projects, PM me for my email)

Beatson, I can completely understand personal issues getting in the way of something, I've been there, and I respect that fully. It was absolutely unprofessional, but you've acknowledged that, so I respect that as well. I personally felt very let down, but that was because I felt like I was making a few bucks doing what I love to do. I think a lot of other developers felt the same way. Long story short, it is what it is. If you ever start up a similar project, take a little bit of responsibility with your developers and your users. While the site wasn't making any money, we as developers were under the impression that we were!
So, while I respect you doing what you had to do, this post almost seems like salt in the wound as there was no money to begin with. Don't say that you don't feel like you were cheating anyone, because I feel cheated, and I know a few other developers who feel cheated. I'm not trying to beat you down here, but understand where I'm coming from. I know I wasn't making a lot, but some of the other devs were, or so they thought. Regardless, take care of yourself, and good luck with your future endeavors!
