Hello Everyone,
My first post!
I just bought GM: Studio after 10 years of non-practice in GM and I did the first tutorial "My first Game". I found a few spelling mistakes and misleading information. For example at page 12 out of 15 "When the use clicks" it should say "When the USER clicks" and then they tell you that the "Set Variable action" is situated in the "Main 2tab" when infact it is situated in the control tab, and then they tell you to add the "Restart Room" action but there is only a "Restart Game" action...and I thought you were able to restart rooms also...
Yes these are minor things but I did buy it fair and square and as a beginner it is a bit puzzling. I hope that the admins can read this (or is there a way to contact them directly?) and I hope the next tutorials won't be like that.
Can I also ask, is there a way to change the interface back to white?
Minor mistakes/differences in Game Maker Studio

Welcome to the forum!
You must remember that Studio is essentially still in Beta... even though it's not. People are finding bugs in it every day. It wasn't wise to start using Studio for the first time without having used Game Maker standard first. But when you do find bugs like that, you should always report it by going to Help -> Report a Bug. That's so the YYG staff can make Studio better for everyone.
File -> Preferences -> Select skin box.

Thanks!
"It wasn't wise" - well that's a bit provoking for a welcome
Nowhere did it say that this was still Beta, I mean the advert was pretty good, so now I feel stupid for buying it. Well I still have the 30 days moneyback guarantee, but my point is that the creators shoul've at least started with the tutorials...if they cannot be done with a 100% understanding then they released the version too early.

Welcome to the GMC.
There's all sorts of little erros like this that while annoying aren't really important. Studio is still very new and there are still some things that need ironed out. I suppose the tutorials were overlooked because the majority of beta testers had used GameMaker before and had skipped over them entirely.
You can submit bugs and errors like this through the bug tracker and they are normally fixed pretty quickly by the development team.
