Will a game with objects being drawn on, say, layers -10 to 10 have better performance than the exact same game with objects being drawn on layers -100 to 100?

For example, if I have a game with objects a, b, and c:

a: layer -5
b: layer 2
c: layer 4

vs.

a: layer -100
b: layer -50
c: layer 30

Will the second game lag more than the first?

I dont know,but certainly usinga:
a:layer -5
b: layer 2
c: layer 4
is better.

no. so use a layer depthsystem that makes sense. I like to go by 100 increments and set my hud at like -10000.
