Gameplay: Every animal man has a 'tell' that they do before a specific attack, and you can not do any damage to them until they have completed the entire pattern. You must collect journal pages to discover what those patterns are, and you start with none.

This is great start. My only confusion about the controls was that the player's "facing direction" is governed by the mouse location -- not by which direction he's walking. But once I realized that, I was OK.

Unfortunately I couldn't get past the first battle (the wolf-headed guy). Either I got stuck above him, landing on his sword continually.... or else I just couldn't kill him. So I was disappointed with that.

Guess I'm just klutz at these fighting games. Hopefully other players will be able to get further, because the game looks great.

Thanks for playing! Every animal man has a 'tell' that they do before a specific attack, and finding journal pages lets you know what they are - something that you are told in the first conversation on the airship. But with no journal pages to start with, the first encounter is pretty much hopeless. The idea was to chase you away, and force the player to get up to the airship. For instance, once you know that a howl attack is low chop, low chop, mid slice, high slice, you can block everything and that opens up the enemy for an attack of your own. I really need to make that clearer! I apologize for any frustration and will put more information in the description of the game.
