History
My first introduction into game development happened when I was in the 6th grade(1998). I wanted to join an AOL chat based Dragonball Z RPG, but my favorite character was already taken. Not to be let down, I decided to create my own. I created a site using Angelfire, developed my own stat system using AOL chats dice function, and took off from there. The game quickly grew, involving well over 150 players. Everything was updated by me, using nothing more than HTML and text files to keep track of stats. Battles were held in private AOL chats with referees, and witnesses. Players had Health, Power Level, Speed, and a list of attack and defensive maneouvres. Eventually the game grew out of my capabilities to update manually and I trusted some of my referees to assist, which led to a password leak and stats being lost without me having a recent backup. Suffice to say, it was over. I attempted to create another Dragonball Z game with an improved stat system, but to little success. Over the next couple years, other similar games were attempted with themes such as Gundam Wing, Gundam, and fantasy settings. I created my own Dragonball Z trading card game before the official one was released(to my knowledge. Also whenever I got bored/grounded, I would develop simple dice based RPG style battle systems. I believe during this time I toyed around with programs like RPGMaker and some other simple game design software. I took a basic computer programming class in 7th or 8th grade for apple computers. (it was all that my school offered despite being soo out of date) Once in high school I took C programming and Visual Basic. I created a simple RPG style battle-text game with C which involved fighting zombies which had a shop, and battles zombies which progressively got harder. The game came complete with ASCII graphics(an ASCII zombie face which took damage according to its health). I also created a platformer style game called Dot Warrior with Visual Basic. It featured bullets, enemies which shot, tanks, bombers and grenades with bouncing physics. If I ever find the hard copies of these games, I'll definitely upload them somewhere. After this I worked on some pen and paper rpgs, and board game style tactical and war games with various other short lived projects. Many of these projects have a completed base system and simply lacked content/publishing. I had some brief starts on some Half-life 1 and Battlefield: Vietnam mods, attempting programming and 3d modeling, but teams quickly fell apart. After a hiatus of "living" for a few years, I returned to game design. This is when I found game maker(I think, my memory doesn't exactly work when I want it to), sometime in the winter of 2007/8. I quickly purchased my license and worked on a few unfinished projects. After some months, I game development went on hiatus again until recently this year I found one of my old projects on my back-up hard drive. I've since continued on an old project, and started a couple more, yet to be finished. I'm looking to join/create a team to motivate myself to seeing a project through from start to finish. I am currently employed full-time as a pipe-fitter/welder, and have two wonderful children, but still have (some)time for other projects. Also, due to the nature of industrial construction, I can have weeks to months off at a time.
Other Info
I have been an avid gamer since my family first bought a nintendo in the early 90s. When it comes to gaming history, there isn't much I haven't seen. I've played nintendo, apple computer(5 1/2 floppy disks, Lode Runner, you know what i'm talkin about), SNES, Genesis, Windows 3.x(Commander Keen, Jazz Jackrabbit, anyone else remember Shareware?), I still have three of the four 3 1/2" disks for Warcraft, the first one, before there was a whole world. Half-life 1, now that was a game. Not for itself, but for MODS! Yeah there was like 100 other games besides Counter-strike... And counter-strike didnt even make it in my top 20. Everquest, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty 1. Remember when DLC maps were free? Anyways, what I'm saying is, I know my **** around video games, and I guarantee I've played most of the best games you've never heard of. I'm looking to start developing some games to completion, and would like to expand beyond my own resources.

Currently I use GM7 pro and am looking to purchase Studio (and the android module) when monetarily feasible.
I use GM's built in editor or paint for most of my sprites, but I also have GIMP.
For sound editing I use Audacity and Studio One.
Basically I use whatever freeware I can find that seems to work best for me.
Well, thanks for reading part of my life's story and please contact me if you're interested in working on some projects together!
EDIT: sorry, forgot to add controls list to most of my game projects, they are next to them now. Again, apologies for not having them in the f1.
