If you are developing a game idea, you may describe it here and ask for suggestions. Avoid vague or poorly developed ideas. Provide information about the game objective, gameplay style, theme, and relevant features.
And arguably more important:
Explain specifically where design help is needed. DO NOT just ask people to comment on your idea, or if they like your idea.
So... do you care to elaborate?

This type of game has already been made. I forgot its name but it had "God" in the title. It even has a sequel.Ive got this great idea for a new game. It is based on an ios/android game called zed's alchemy. basically you combine two elements into a new one, then you can use the new element to combine with others and make like 300 different things from just 4 starting elements. I was thinking of making it into like a first person game

I doubt this was your idea without ever looking something similar... even these doodle gods and similar are based on a old DOS game

I don't see how him wanting to do a copycat of doodle god/doodle devil is any different that of someone that is making a copycat of pokemon, sonic, etc. Even the tutorial projects are just copycats of some other game..

Game mechanics are hard to prove ownership of. Someone has done every idea before. So, for example, if you were making a game where you were a man on a motorbike that had to go around loops to pick up containers of fuel, then this would be the same game mechanic as sonic, but a different game. If you were making a game about a blue hedgehog that could run super fast who had to do loops to pick up gold coins, that's a different story.I don't see how him wanting to do a copycat of doodle god/doodle devil is any different that of someone that is making a copycat of pokemon, sonic, etc. Even the tutorial projects are just copycats of some other game..
If you are seriously worried about the legalities of what you're doing, then consult a lawyer. They will have a much better idea of what's copyright infringement and what isn't.

Now I will elaborate.
I have planned out most of the details but I need help in two specific areas.
1. I have used game maker for a long time and I can do pretty much anything with it, except for 3d games. I have tried the 3d part and a lot of it confuses me. If someone who is good at 3d game maker could please help me make the game or at least give me helpful tips It would be much appreciated. (If it's possible to import 3d models rather than using sprites that always face you, could you please tell me how.)
2. If you are familliar with the doodle god games you are aware that you have unlimited of each object. I am not sure quite how to do this with this game. If I don't do it the player will need to go and find each object which could work, but I don't know. I was thinking maybean inventory system with unlimited of every object that you have made, but would that make the game less fun?
If you have anything else you would like to contribute such as ideas or helpful tips i will be happy. XD

You saw a game you liked and want to do something similar. You have no idea, and you've come here hoping we'd give you an idea.

So basically you don't have an idea at all.
You saw a game you liked and want to do something similar. You have no idea, and you've come here hoping we'd give you an idea.
I do have an idea. My Idea is to use the basic game play of doodle god and make it into an entirely different game. In doodle god you drag pictures onto other pictures and that is it. This game will be a 3d first person sandbox free world environment type game. So for example, you find some iron in a cave (which you created) , you combine it with your cart that you made previously. And Bam. You have created a car which you can actually drive to run down those zombies you accidentally created.
This game will eventually seem so unlike doodle god that you will not even see the resemblance. (maybe)
FYI: If you made a FPS wouldn't that be copying call of duty? So before you say im just copying someone's idea. Im not. Im copying the style of gameplay and that is all.
So Yes, I have an idea, and all im coming here for is help making it because im not good at 3d game maker. Im not asking anyone for an idea.

A couple of points:
First, it looks like you may be biting off more than you can chew! I read somewhere recently "never make your dream game first; [you'll just end up f^(@ign it up]". I'd recommend you fiddle around with a smaller project first. People tend to recommend platform games, but I hated those. I made a vertical scrolling shooter, and then a top down shooter (I like shooters
Second, you said "Im not asking anyone for an idea." Might be in the wrong subforum!

From this sentence I can conclude the following: You're a guy with big hopes and dreams in the game creation community, and you have this idea which you think is absolutely amazing. And you want us to help you develop your idea so it's perfect. Which is fine. This game will be a 3d first person sandbox free world environment type game.
The only things that are not fine are the facts that
1) You have absolutely no idea how to make the game when the idea is ready,
2) You don't have any skill, knowledge whatsoever using GameMaker that will help you in the creation of this game,
3) We're all wasting our time posting in this topic.
How can I conclude those things?
1 & 2) If you knew what it would take and if you had enough GameMaker knowledge, you'd know that GameMaker can't run such a game functionally. Unless you want it to be as ugly as it can possibly be.
3) You don't know how to make the game, and you haven't realized this yet.
No, and I never implied such a thing. FPS is a genre, Call of Duty is a game. Widely different.FYI: If you made a FPS wouldn't that be copying call of duty?
