This year the 26th Cinekid Festival will be held from 17 to 26 October in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Cinekid is an international film, television and new media festival for children and young people between 4 and 14.
The annual Cinekid New Media Award 2012 has an Audience Award and Jury Award for the best new media productions for children and is now open for submission!
We would like to invite you to send in your new media productions released between July 1st 2011 and July 1st 2012.
From the entries, the Jury will select a maximum of 12 productions to be programmed at Cinekidâs Medialab, which will be eligible for the prizes. From these twelve works, the winners of the Jury Award and the Audience Award will each be rewarded with the Cinekid New Media Award. The Jury Award also consists of a prize of 7.500 Euro.
Members of the jury are: Nathalie Korsman (advisor en publicist teenagers and media), Alexander Klöpping (blogger and regular guest at the tv-program DWDD), Erwin Blom (social & new media expert and publicist), Wouter Sluis (senior consultant user experience), Mirjam Vosmeer (docent at UvA, holding a Phd videogames & gender) and Menno Deen (researcher games & motivation TU eindhoven and Fontys Hogeschool ICT).

The closing date for the competition is July 1st, 2012.
