License's not working

Hi YYG
Im going to try to keep this brief as possible. I have purchased a total of 3 licenses. 1 license gm7 and 2 gm8. I personally cant find the email for gm7, but I still have 2 emails for gm8. (I can copy and paste if you need)

I did go through all the proper steps, before I posted this topic. But Im running into issues with ALL the 'Help desk" stuff. Not sure what is updated or not, but seem to not be getting though.

Ok, so what Im going to do is eat & forget gm7. I might of deleted that email. But under the agreement, it says I can use 1 license alone on 3 dif computers. So with 2 other licenses, that means 6 total no? I havnt reached that yet.

Well, like I said, Im restarting Gm, and re-installed 8 on my comp. When I go to put a license in, will not work. It keeps bringing me to "Buy GM8" page. Why do I have to spend more money LOL.

I originally thought, you could only add a license to another computer ONCE. (That could of been GM7's license agreement) But I have 2 gm8 as well.

What I did to fix things, I re-read agreement with 3X computers installs, and no problem there. I re-opened both original emails, stating the "You just purchased gm8" and replied to em, asking whats wrong. But I found out, that the email to it was no good. So I came here. I entered my email address, and GM says I only have 1 license (even though, its false, I still followed the rules) I hit enter to receive my license info (had done this 7 times) and still, no email on license info.

I searched the topics here for "Licenses broken" or "Site down" topics or something, but my problem isnt matching topics.


I messaged Softwrap though the site, and they said I have 2 license still (which is right) I wrote them the problem, and STILL havnt gotten an answer. So now Im here.

Lets say for humor, I used up the 3X per license. Would I not at least receive a message or email stating that? Problem is, Im not getting ANY answer of any type. Is the site down or something? I keep checking my email and Im still getting nothing. I messaged an Admin here, and dont have an answer. Can someone just tell me why is everyone soooo quiet or not responding???

PS: If this is in the wrong forum, sorry, wasnt sure where to put this. If you need I will give ALL my info including credit card etc, through private messages. Thanks :)

EDIT: If an Admin or Mod reads this, could you please PM me? Im not getting an answer from anyone, and dont know if the sites are broken etc. If my licenses are good, then great. If not, then I should at least know. Seems like EVERYONE is on vacation and all Im hearing are crickets LOL HELP :tongue:

i replied to your other post a min ago.

i think im right in saying GM8(and ofc 7) is softwrap so you were right to contact them, they can be slow. If you still want to use your GM8 (times 2) or even your 7, all emails will go through them. and i think they might have a support ticket system. and although they are slow they have always resent my "3 computers installed" back to 0 so i can install more, just be patient/ make a ticket with them NOT YoYo or here.

and thats all you need to do. if you how ever do have some space on those 3 (times 2) installations you are owed and are still having this problem, the likelyhood is its not a license problem it is a little bug that was present in i think Vista(and maybe other OSs like 7) where you need to run GM8 in administrator mode before you register it(put the license in) else next time you load GM it will forget you have bought it :) (what a silly error, i had it years ago)

You appear to have a GM8.1 license, is this the one you have issues using? This is not handled through Softwrap.

Are you trying to use GM7, GM8 or GM8.1?

your 1 license gm7 and 2 gm8 are working so that's the problem.

EDIT: Not sure why, but its now working LOL. Finally. I cant really give a reason as to why, so I cant help others who may encounter same prob. There was a handful of things I noticed which some of the help topics mentioned, didnt happen.

1) I didnt see a 're-install' feature. I had seen a blank spot to put your license key in. This I had seen several times, nothing different. I placed my key there and hit enter today, and just went though. Yesterday (and days before) I had done this, which it had not.

So all I can think of, it must of been on supports end or something. Sorry, wish I could be of more help :unsure:

In the meantime,,,,,,,,GAMETIME!!! ::lmao::
