Can anyone show how to use correctly the FaceBook functions:
// Facebook integration functionality
facebook_init(app_id_string)
facebook_login(ds_list_of_permissions)
facebook_status()
facebook_graph_request(graph_path,httpMethod,ds_map_params,ds_map_response)
facebook_dialog(graph_path,ds_map_params,ds_map_response
facebook_logout()

It sucks to spend money without relying a good support.
The help file is not clear with these functions how it should.
So I wanna get a full tutorial. Can anybody help me?

It also sucks to have spent a week writing and producing an extensive tutorial for a product and then have someone complain about poor support... Posted Image

Also, please note that the Facebook (and later other functions like in app purchaces and Game center) all require a deep and fundamental knowledge of how these external sites work. That is not the job of YoYo Games to show, especially as Apple, Facebook etc... provide far more documentation that is bang up to date than we could ever possibly provide. So it is highly recommended that you go to the developer pages of these sites and read (and understand) how their applications work. For Facebook, you can start here : http://developers.facebook.com/

Please read carefully what I posted. I at no time said that you should go to the helpfile. I was agreeing with japes00 in that Studio actually comes with a tutorial for Facebook, and dispairing at the fact that you hadn't seen it after I spent a week writing it! Please, open Studio and on the splash screen go to the section labelled "Tutorials" and scroll down. There you will find the tutorial that you need so much.

Hi everyone, I had this working fine, untill a few days ago, for some reason yoyogames changed facebook_init(app_id_string) to just facebook_init(); then in the new tutor it says to use the facebook tab under the Global settings, Problem thought, I don't have any tab that says for facebook. so I think there's an issue with this, untill they fix it now all my games with facebook don't work.

But to anwser your questions, all you realy need to do is add your apikey:

that's it,

Just a shared thought,

I work as an IT in aprison, I currently hold my MCSA, A+ Network + and run a part time businessdeveloping smart phone applications along with Games.

Our Institutiontakes care of over 700 user's daily, along with consistent projects.The one thing I've leant is that when there is a need to make some type ofdynamic changes to either a document, to a major source that could affecthundreds of user's. We have to go through a process. A broad band notificationis sent out ahead of time that there will be a change in the relating projector whatever it may be that we need to make some type of change to.

Now! with the way YoYoGames lately has been performing their changes, it is very poor and along withtheir technical support. They lack communication with the public. Randomly makesome type of change effecting the developer in either their code or the waythey perform they tasks. If it's not broken, there's no need to fix it, is amotto that should be followed. I know that I spend many hours working on agame, and then when update is released thereseems to be always some sort of issue with the new release. "I would liketo also mention I keep my updater on the "stable version", due toknowing that the beta would be more prone to having issues, Not the stableversion, you would think.

I feel that if they wereto provide better services, along with support, they would most likely gain abetter profit and would have a better report with the public. I'm surprisedthat some people haven't request their money back due to such poorcommunication.

This is just my thoughtfrom a Technicians point a view.
