You have entered a gardening competition but your rivals decide to cheat by placing bombs in your garden you must remove these bombs before it's too late!

Good concept, but needs more and bigger levels. Also a timer for the bomb would be nice, maybe an icon on the side showing the fuse burning away and when it's all gone.. kaboom. This way I couldn't really tell when it will explode.

And another thing, you probably should have inverted the order of levels, as it is, the last level is the easiest and the first one is almost the hardest.. though it's not really hard at all.

Of course, I realize this is work in progress so all of this will probably be changed. You're on a good way for now.

On the good side, the graphics are pretty nice and colorful for a game like this one, except for the smoke. And the bombs move around in a pleasant way.

I like it so far. Interesting concept, I've definitely never rolled bombs through a garden before.

I would look into your options for shadows because everything looks rather "flat" right now in terms of lighting. I haven't worked with 3D in GM in a few years but I know it's not too difficult to get that effect. Do some research :)

Before each level that introduces something new, start off with a small message that explains what these things are. "Watch out for water pipes!" etc.

I would like to have seen a timer in the corner of the screen telling me how much time I have left before the bomb goes off, but if this is intentionally left out then I can see the merit in that.

From a design perspective, the game title in the menu is difficult to read (even though I already knew what it was called, it's nice to be able to read it anyway).

Small touches like the ball rolling and the fuse getting shorter as time goes on means you have some attention to detail, which I really appreciate. Keep it up, I'm interested to see where this goes as it becomes more polished.

thank you, i'll see to it.

Edit: just implemented the shadow/lighting effects, looks really nice. THX. just need to fix a glitch it caused with the bomb timer you two suggested (I think I can solve it with a simple draw_set_color(c_white) as I have had this problem with fonts before)

I'm liking the new lighting, nice work. Depending on how far you want to go with it, since it's a little dark at the moment, maybe the first level can start out in the morning (lower, pinkish lighting) then as the game progresses have it become brighter into midday, and then through evening (lower, orange lighting) and finally to night time where it's darker and harder to see obstacles? Just brainstorming.

Your solution for the timer is good too, clever to use the fuse sprite burning down. You could even have a little bomb graphic at the end of it if you wanted.

This game is nearing it's final release, please get you suggestions in quickly.

In my mind you could easily spend several more weeks polishing up this game before finishing it, but it's your freedom to release it whenever you like, so here are my "final" suggestions:

- The level select screen has like 50 choices, none of which work as far as I know (and how do you go back to the main menu?). The game itself still only has a few levels, then goes to a black screen.
- The cutscene could afford to go a little slower
- The transition between the cutscene and level 1 looks really bad
- Try having levels with new types of obstacles and fewer tight spaces
- Instead of a void on the edges of the garden, surround it by a white picket fence and cover the ground with a large grass plane.
- Better yet, instead of simply rolling it out into empty space, why not roll it into your evil neighbor's garden?
- There are various other graphical improvements that could be made, for example making anything in the menu readable, or using something other than the default show_message() to display prompts to the player.

I do like this game, and wish you luck as you finish the project.

The sands is slow the player too much. But it has nice gameplay. Especially the physics. It's extremely well polished. Nice game! I'll review it in reviewer choice. If i got enough time
