Going through some tutorials from the book "The Game Makers Apprentice" it state the the user have to enable the "Smooth Edges" option when loading a sprite to make the edges look less jagged during the game.
However, the book uses GM 6.1 for its tutorials, but I can not find this option in GM 8.1..141.11549.
Can someone guide me to where this option is moved to?

Found it! Sorry for the post. At least other newbies like me can find it now.
(Windows) When you load the sprite resource it will ask you the file name. When you click on the file it will show you a preview of the image. Just underneath the preview image is the "Smooth Edges" option.
