Description:
Kingdom of the Wörm is a Homage to the maze games of the golden age of videogames. Although updated with graphics and music resembling the 16 bite era. It started out as a remake of K.C.'s Krazy Chase from the Odyssey 2 console but got a bit bigger during development. It now features elements from the following games:

- Pac Man (of course)
- Jr. Pac Man
- Lady Bug
- Turtles
- K.C. Munchkin
- Pac'n'Pal
- Super Pac Man
- Nibbler
- K.C.'s Krazy Chase (of course)

It features 20 levels with new gameplay elements being constantly introduced throughout the game.
Oh, there is a cheat you can enable. Press 'c' on the options screen to enable it.

I hope you have a little fun with it.

This is a very well made and nice looking game. I love the graphical style. The various intro options/selections with the scrolls work well, but the intro story is a bit too slow -- even for a slow reader. Also, there appears to be a "broken screen" that appears briefly after the Thor image during the intro. (doesn't affect the game -- but should be removed/fixed)

Once the game starts, the gameplay is good. It's the familiar Pac-man maze chase with dots to eat, diamonds to collect, and monsters to avoid. Good stuff that takes you back to the old days.... (maybe the really old days of our parents).

Unfortunately, I haven't made it past the first level... but I'll keep trying.

Overall, a great game worth the download. +1

Thanks a lot.

I don't get the broken screen. Maye it is a graphic card thing (low memory)?

You should at least try to get to level 2. This is the basic principle of why this game was made. Or try to cheat your way through.

Trying to use non-existing surface.

Does your videocard support surfaces? BEcause the surface I use is really small (it is for a button) and you are the first who reports that. So I could imagine it is your videocard not supporting surfaces.

It just flashes for a split second. And it's a bit different each time: random color blocks, partial text (unreadable). Looks like an uncleared surface. But no big deal.

And yes, I'll try for higher levels.

Hmm. I am not using any surface until this point. And the following title image isn't a surface either. I could imagine that gamemaker doesn't clear the videomemory fast enough, because I am using a lot of huge images there. Will check on a little older machine.

EDIT:
Yeah, it seems that the transition alongside the huge sprites and backgrounds is too much for older graphics-cards. But as you said. I doesn't break the game and is only seen during the transtition from the intro logo to the main screen. So, no patch needed for that. Let's see if more stuff comes up.
