You could add parallax backgrounds? that would help graphics to be even better.

@deluksic interesting, but I use tiles for the background, so I will have to see in the help file if I can move they.

Anyway, did you consider competitive online?
With a symmetric map, both/all players get their little castle and are seperated by water on island. so you grind and build your castle on your little Island until you feel ready to attack another castle/get attacked yourself.
Letting wild the friends you found against other players and their friends seems like great.
well Im not sure if its really a good idea or if its even implantable, but thats something id suggest.

1)Are the fire and lighting in the game?
Yes
2)Theres a basic online support, its still under development
3)Yes I have been thinking on a sort of arena, or battles, but currently the online is in cooperative mode
4)Port forwarding may be hard, but soon I will have a main server that will avoid that,unless you want to host your own server (in wich you will be able to play with more than 2 people at time).
5)Magic is also another idea that came to my mind, but I don't know how to implement it in the game

Sadly its a small update (thanks school for giving me tests, thanks mom for ruining my free week with a trip[not really ruining, but I lose time])
So whats new?
-You can now equip two items at time! Theres a nother slot in inventory, and you can switch the items at any time you want, good for carrying a axe and a sword at time.
-You can pick up string and use they as a medium ranged weapon! Yup, and deal good damage too
-Added level skills! Now when you level up you will feel the diference, your atack, speed and defence will increase, and if your level is high enough you will be able to defeat a slime with one hit!
-Added a spell! Lighting spell, you can summon thunders and hurt monsters nearby, is one of the new treasures you can get by going far in the game!

Bugs
-Entering the cave resets some of your status (sorry guys couldn't fix this, but if you don't enter in the cave
-Almost the whole multiplayer mode.
