You better, I'm like a puppy that hasn't learned that going No. 2 on the rug is a bad thing. Grrrr...I, for one, am scared of all of you.
Welcome!
EDIT:
Big P.S.:
If you want people to not be all uppity about how you used to be on the YYGF, you could try..like..not even mentioning it. As of this topic, it may have been too late already, but if you mention it in your signature, you could just remove it. Nobody will ever notice..
On the otherhand, if you don't care, (and I think you shouldn't) feel free to put a giant neon YYGF jpeg in your sig.
Hello World!

Nocturne has said so several times in the past (as have others before him) - but allowing competitions to be held at these forums would make yoyogames (legally) responsible for those. This is a responsibility yoyogames can't take, and as such they can not allow these. On top of that competitions will always lead to discussion about "fairness" and "prejudiced voting" at some point, it's not what we wish to happen on these forums.
just saw a bit:
1)You are not allowed to make competitions of any type? wait why?
2)Some users think users from yygf are n00bs...
If you really wish to hold a competition you can use your personal website for it, and announce it in this topic
We've had plenty of competitions in the past with no "legal" trouble. Don't really understand the problem here. Unless prize money is involved. We usually just do it for fun.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd recommend you not go around saying that. We're not on the YYGF anymore. This place doesn't work "how we work". That's fact. We have to follow the GMC rules here.
No... thats not how we work...
Yes and no guys... There has to be some flexibility about this too or else it really is unfair on all of you and there will always be a them and us mentality. This should become the YoYo Games Community!!! Not the GMC and not the YYGF but the YYGC...
Anyway, as I said before the comps rule is as much about money problems and things as it is about PR and reputation. If any competition goes wrong in any way on these forums, whoever is involved will not say "oh that Nocturne guy", no, they'll say "those YoYo Games guys" and that can't happen. HOWEVER if this is an important thing for people crossing over from the other forum, then it can (and will) be discussed with an eye on adapting things to suit.
Now, is that okay? I honestly can't be any fairer than that...

Your sentence lacks parallelism, and the sentence should be revised to:
Welcome, YYGF refugees! Here we will teach you appropriate sentence structure, grammar, and the basis of intelligent conversation. We hope you enjoy your stay.
"Here we will teach you appropriate sentence structure and grammar, as well as the basis of intelligent conversation."
My sentence is perfectly acceptable by all English standards. Also, I didn't say the GMC would make grammar nazis of you all - but the one huge difference I've always noticed is that, simply, people write better in general at the GMC. It's the main reason I ended up here rather than the YYG forum.
most of us from YYGF are 'grammar nazis.'
You're funny, I like you.

Now as I said yoyogames will be hold responsible might something go wrong. So the moderating team will have to take a close eye on potential tournaments. But this isn't a real problem either - just something to keep in mind.
The big problem when everyone could just host 'competitions' is that many competitions will spawn. And most of those will be neglected, the host will forget, or only few participants will enter etc etc. And by having many forgotten competitions the forums will get a worse reputation. It doesn't give the professionalism a forum should have.
Now as for why competitions did work at the YYGF: remember that the yygf was a lot more closed than the GMC. The GMC has always been a very open forum, where many people just join to post a few posts & then leave. The yygf could hence create a closer community where people knew everyone, reducing the chance of forgotten tourneys.

I guess that one comes with having a higher notoriety, where as the YYGF is small enough no one would notice and thus YYG would have no problems in the first place. Though, as stated by CGG, competitions held on the YYGF rarely contain actual prizes and are done more for the spirit of the thing, similar to a jam.The competitions rules is simple... You make a competition and host it here, if it goes wrong or someone has a problem, then YoYo Games will be the ones that get the bad rep.
Good, good. I was worried you'd be stuck up snobs, but that worry branches from back in 2009.As for the comment about noobs, some users from YYGF think that we are stuck up snobs... So how about we forget that crap and just be ourselves, eh?

Oh yeah! You guys are now an accepted part of this community whether you like it or not... NPT has spoken!
Hey, you may have denounced my previous conspiracy theory, the prediction either came true, or atleast accelerated the inevitable.
The theme isn't exactly new. I am however baffled at the introduction of an Off-topic section since the idea was shot down so many times it was becoming a bad joke.
My conspiracy theorist based opinion is; creating an off-topic forum is designed to be the last nail in the coffin for http://forums.yoyogames.com.
As we're all aware, YYGs has two forums the GMC and forums, YYGs has de-emphasized the sandbox and with it the forums. The one thing the forums had that the GMC did not have was an off-topic forum. Now they can shutdown forums, sending them over here.
As much as I admire your astute reasoning, I can confirm that that that is not actually the case... although now mentioned it may be worthwhile considering!
........
My Crystal Ball may have been a little fuzzy on the details, but the end result, once again speaks for itself.

Wow, so different, I can make things bold more easily! Along with italics and now I can underline things
I look forward to settling in here with the new community
EDIT: Oh, and just because I can post media properly now instead of links, here's one of my favorite death scenes in the history of cool death scenes to remember how people put up with all of the bugs random bot attacks and all of the like for so long before giving out.

I didn't say that either. Also, I didn't say the GMC would make grammar nazis of you all
That is from your point of view, and I don't think that people write better at the GMC than they do on YYGF. I think that both websites are diverse in how good member grammar is. Some members on YYGF are also on the GMC, so there is some mixing. Also, the GMC is quite larger than the YYGF, and a larger demographic is usually a more accurate representation of how things are. Not saying that the GMC is better or worse than YYGF, but that the GMC describes most statistics better than the YYGF would.but the one huge difference I've always noticed is that, simply, people write better in general at the GMC. It's the main reason I ended up here rather than the YYG forum.
I think it's time for the "GMC Rumors" topic. And while you're here, don't make crap up!
Google faulty parallelism. My sentence is perfectly acceptable by all English standards.
From now on, 'we' means GMC and YYGF. There is no 'we' YYGF or 'you' GMC (or vice-versa). There is simply people who migrated from YYGF, people on both YYGF and GMC, and people already on the GMC. I'm about through with this topic. It moves along a bit too quickly for my tastes.

This is a perfect example of GMC hierarchy.
Note in particular the excitement on Nocturne's face as he realises who has just spoken.
