Also if you think vegetarianism is a good thing, feel free to write your opinion as well. I'm all for freedom of speech

Why would you not like them?I don't like people who are vegetarians. Especially vegans. I think it doesn't make sense. We're omnivores, we´re supposed to eat both meat and vegetables. Anyone else agree?

I eat meat and enjoy it. If somebody chooses not to for what they believe to be health or compassion reasons, fine.
I don't impose my beliefs onto them, and appreciate them not imposing theirs onto me. But dislike them simply for not eating meat, that's silly.

There are plenty of reasons why some people choose not to eat meat. However, I disagree with the 'we're animals too' argument.
Is this why they don't eat meat ?

Some of them, yes. Health reasons I'm fine with, though.

I'd suggest you go vegan/vegetarian for a month.. see the other side of the fence, before you judge people. You'll find there are plenty of (quite tasty) alternatives for protein.
Edit: Our cat use to bring rabbit tails back... bless him.

That's bizarre and simplistic. I can just about stretch to seeing how vegetarians can dislike meat-eaters, if you think of people as caricatures -- since they are essentially participant in the slaughter of animals; but why would you hate someone who abstains from this?I don't like people who are vegetarians. Especially vegans.
... I'm a pescetarian, so I suppose you partially dislike me?

Let people do what they want with their bodies, besides, the less people that eat meat the more there is for you.
Also for all those of you who think i don't like vegetarians that's not what i meant. I meant to say that i don't like the fact that they don't eat meat about them. I have plenty of friends who are vegetarians. I am obviously not going to dislike someone just cause they're vegetarians.

Btw, what do you mean with health reasons? I have never heard of people being vegetarians for health reasons. Some of them, yes. Health reasons I'm fine with, though.
I'm not sure. Do pescatarians only eat fish, or don't eat fish at all?I'm a pescetarian, so I suppose you partially dislike me?

My parents grew me up as one.
I tried meat on various occasions and just don't like it.
It almost made me puke!
I'm not as strong on the whole "animals are people too" thing that other vegetarians I've met say.
I've come to realize that some animals were created to be food for other animals. But that's just not for me!
What perplexes you is that why people refuse to eat animals? As stated before, health reasons.
Vegetarians have a reduced chance of getting various cancers, diabetes, and obesity. Vegetarian diets also include less cholesterol and saturated fats and more fibres, phytochemicals and certain necessary minerals!
Although some vitamins and nutrients are lacking in some vegetarian diets, various supplements more than make up for it. Protein gets brought up a lot when people first find out that I'm vegetarian. I get more than enough protein drinking delicious protein rich soups like lentil soup!
It's a really nice diet! Though a lot of people I've met told me they tried to become a vegetarian for the health benefits but couldn't resist eating meat after a couple days.
I guess I also enjoy being a vegetarian because it makes me feel slightly different and unique because I'm doing something people couldn't!
Though I have to say a major part of it is the not liking it part and a little on the fact that animals do have a life and taking it away because you can is a little cruel. Yes, humans are easily capable of eating other animals and are engineered to eat them over cellulose, but it feels like you're killing something that is it's own complex being. I, personally, find purposely killing anything is wrong. Some people justify killing some animals for food and I suppose I can respect that but some say that killing other animals for food is wrong? I just don't see the difference! What constitutes a just murder of an animal? Like:
Killing pigs is wrong but killing dogs is completely cruel???
Like what perplexes me the most is that eating dogs is frowned upon but eating pigs isn't. Maybe it's me being a vegetarian for most of my life but that doesn't make sense to me :/.
"But dogs are pets!" yea but so are pigs!
"But dogs are smarter!" yea but just as much as pigs! Pigs are very intelligent and can learn some things faster than dogs! They even play video games!
"Eating pigs is natural. Eating dogs is unnatural"
Maybe someone can explain that to me because it genuinely perplexes me and my friends, who are pretty much carnivores, can't seem to give a proper explanation.
If dinosaurs randomly ressurected and began to eat humans, humans would think that's not right and would kill off all the dinosaurs or at least incapacitate them. I guess Humans are unnatural.
Conscience breaks the flow of nature.
By nature, killing and death is natural up until conscience intervenes and creates laws, rules, regulations and ultimately decides that only some killings and deaths are justified. I think death of a being with a soul is wrong. But what is a mortal judgement? To nature, it is nothing, but to me it is a sign of evolution and progress. It sets us aside form the animals as clearly, as you can agree, we are not one of them. We are far to unnatural.
You may be confused by vegetarians, but to me, all of you are confusing.

Basically, my main argument is that we are animals just like a pig, a dog or a cow. We are Homo Sapiens, and one thing that distinguishes our species from several others is that we are omnivores. And I think that suddenly deciding that you should only eat vegetables and eat no meat, makes you not a Homo Sapien, because all Homo Spiens are omnivores. I think that it would make absolutely no sense for a penguin to stop eating fish, and start eating corn, or for a cow to start eating meat instead of grass.
But that is just my opinion.
