I got the idea that I'm not allowed to do this over at the sandbox...
But are we allowed to advertise games that are partially made with game maker here?

I'd like to upload a tutorial that shows how to get GM and another game engine to communicate via running external programs and use of INI files.
I'd also like to advertise a game that uses that technique. Which means it is one game made with a combination of two engines (including GM). Would a game like this go better in the GM games forum or the general chat?

Thanks.

While GM has features Adventure Maker doesn't, Adventure Maker makes games of my preffered genre with less coding which makes it easier/quicker to do certain things.

A tutorial showing this would be fine I think (and rather interesting)... However if the Game is not a GM made game, it cannot be posted on these forums either. We are as much a apart of YoYo Games as the Sandbox and cannot have any games that were not made with GM.

So essentially you're making two games that you have to play at the same time? It sounds like you could save a lot of work-per-game-rate by just making two different games in the first place.

You could always use DLLs, and those are allowed.
