Since you've gone into reading this topic, I presume you're somewhat interested in making graphics for an Android/iOS game.
Or perhaps multiple, if we work well together.
Headlines in this post include:
- The team. Who's on it?
- What's this about?
- What do I expect?
- What will you have to be capable of creating?
- What about payment?
You may have seen me before.
I spend the occasional moments helping people with their GameMaker issues, or debating in other threads.
As for private usage of GameMaker, I am freelancing. I don't make games for myself, I make games for others.
And I do not make games unless I see a definite revenue in near future.
This will come to a hault however, so that I may work on my own games now.
Who else is on the team?
Respected and educated composer, Remo Ferdenzi (www.remoferdenzi.com).
This fine gentleman will handle all sound effects and background music.
Now, what is this topic about and why am I writing it?
With the release of GM: Studio, I - as many others - look to conquer the Android market (now known as Google Play) and the Apple Store.
I am working on a personal game "formula" or "recipe" as of right now, and I have the concept of the game I want to make - including graphical style and assets.
For obvious reasons, I can't start explaining my concept on a public board such as this one.
Rest assured that a lot of research and mind-goggling is going into this.
What I need you to be able to create / the qualities you must possess;
- High-quality graphics (rendered 3D models or plain 2D is fine, as long as the output is of spectacular quality)
- Good, friendly communication
- Frequent online availability for communication
- Determined and fast-paced (I don't work slowly, I don't expect to wait long for the graphics either)
- Common knowledge and a general I.Q.
- Take constructive criticism
At least tell me what kind of graphics I will have to make...
You will have to be able to make medieval graphics in a top-down or somewhat isometric view.
I never expect more of others than I expect of myself.
What about payment, you may ask.
I am willing to pay a percentage (%) up to a margin.
The margin is the total amount of $USD you will receive, and the sales count decides how fast you will receive this.
Say for example we decide on 10 % up to a margin of $100.
This means you will receive 10 % of revenue, until you've received a total of $100.
Payment method and salary is negotiable.
Of course, a price per graphic can also be discussed.
Interested to some extent?
Drop me a private message and we'll take it from there.
