So I have a question on this.. currently I'm having difficulty with my laptop hard drive (BSOD on reboot occasionally) and I have a spare hard drive I sometimes use to get things working in the same laptop. Is this still considered the same computer?

and speaking of my bad laptop, eventually I am going to replace it with a better one.. hopefully much sooner rather than later. How will I go about transferring my license at that point?


and amazingly,.. that day came today!! I am typing on my new laptop and trying to get used to having a numpad where my delete key should be :P ..

so.. haven't installed it yet...

I ordered GameMaker:Studio with both android and ios 3 days ago, and I still have not received a license. I sent a message to the "help" desk and they asked for my order # which I had already provided them. Still waiting... How long did it take other people to receive their license?

I purchased Gamemaker Studio over a week ago and have yet to receive my license. The help desk moved my ticket to resolved however, they were unable to give me any information. They claim that the order did not through, however the money has been charged to my account. What can I do to fix this situation?

I get the new update and when I want to put my last licence I cant. I try to get a new one from the web, put my email and it says (in the email inside) that I don't have any licences.
What I have to do? Is it a bug? Does anybody have it too?

The same happens to me.
Studio says "Unable to obtain a valid license, please check the License Key and retry!"
Additionally, the e-mail also says I have 0 licenses.

Yep, I'm getting the same thing. Clearly they broke the licenses again with this update. Pretty pathetic.

After todays update I keep having license errors.
Details:
I enter my license, Studio starts up as usual. All mods are gone and going in "help >> update license" it says studio is still unlicensed. I reenter my license and it says successful and says I need to restart Studio to get the mods. Then doing so it starts all over again. I re-installed Studio but the problem still persist.
I'm not having any email license issues like others seem to be having, just within Studio.
I'll probably file a bug today if the problem isn't fixed and if others haven't already.

Thats why it's called the 'beta channel' guys, and I'm pretty sure the office is going ballistic right now trying to fix this :thumbsup:

The bug is happening on the stable channel. I think the current thought is it has to do with timezones or something. Anyhow, hopefully it gets resolved soon. For now I rolled back to r16302 and the license works fine there.

I have a question about the licenses in general. Will a Studio license expire if you don't run the program every few weeks? I know with 8.1 I've had to re-license a few times because I work so slowly and do most of my coding on paper.

On the other hand, when the program expires like that I don't know if it counts against the install limit or not.

They don't "expire" as such. They need to be revalidated. So, if you don't run Studio for a month or so, you won't be able to use it until you validate it with the license verification file. After that, it'll work again.

It works just like GM8.1

If your always connected to the internet, it'll do this automatically for you.

This revalidation does NOT affect the license activation count.

Hi. I cleaned up my hard drive and so I had to reinstall Gm studio today. But when i run it there seems to be no available target platform to run the games through. And i keep getting asked to revalidate my license everytime i open the program. How would i go about fixing this? I follow the revalidation and I have the same problems.

The revalidation issue was a server side issue, and has now been fixed....

I am currently having issues buying the software and the Android module because my bank denies the transaction, I had a ticket open for this and they told me that i needed to ask my bank to let the unblock the transaction (I am in the US) but my bank wants to charge me $50 dollars to do so... I really want this software and am more then willing to pay YoYo hundreds of dollars for it but I cant... Any ideas, or info on future payment methods (will paypal ever work?)

Awesome! I dont imagine there is anywhere that I can keep updated on a new payment feature or whatever may be coming? (Outside of this post)
