I aim to soon buy GM:S and all modules, but first I would like to know if I should uninstall the current beta of GM:s before buying and installing the new one. Or can I just enter the license in the current version, without risking issues with errors and such?

I just did that & now it wont accept my (valid) license key to use GMS... so I wouldn't recommend doing that today might be worth waiting until tomorrow.

Actually, yes. Uninstalling GM:S beta is recommended before installing the full version. Unfortunately some people are having issues, but this is not due to them uninstalling the previous version.

I'm the latest member of the uninstalled beta, trying to apply license key after fresh install and no dice crew. Submitted a helpdesk ticket. Oh well. I'll just work on some terrible programmer art until things are resolved.

I had the beta, and then just this morning I bought GM:S + Android module.
I updated the beta first, and then entered the license, and it worked fine. I just had to close the program and re-open it.
It would appear to me that you don't need to uninstall first.

My experience..
Had the BETA installed, installed the full version in I think a different directory, upon running it for the first time it kept crashing during the install progress. I then uninstalled it completely and reinstalled.

All seems well, except that I tried importing some GM81 files and it reported them all as corrupt.

I didn't uninstall the beta and just keep updating. GMS is now RC4 and everything is okay, should I uninstall and do fresh install?
